Mary Worth 2814

"Okay. How much cash will I have to risk? How much cash will you be investing? What is your personal debt load? What is your personal credit rating? What is the level of success for new food products? What is the level of success for new food distribution companies? How many initial employees will we need to hire? What equipment will we need to purchase? Where will our production kitchen be located? Will we outsource our human resource department, or manage it in-house? Internet sales? Have you ever managed a company before? Have you ever started a company before? What licenses will be required to sell food to the public? These, of course, are just off the top of my head. I'll have hundreds of more questions when I call you. I'll talk to you later."

Aha, as if this relationship isn't uncomfortable enough, Ted ups the ante with an unwelcome hug.

@KitKat and Sandi: I too am a life-long editor -- i.e., a fellow Word Nerd.

Ha ha! BTW, Ted literally "wraps up" his visit with Mary.

When I saw that second panel, all I could think of an episode of Spongebob Squarepants (Yes, I watch Spongebob, don't judge!) where Squidward says to Spongebob "Remember our conversation about personal space?"

I have a suggestion for the Charterstone jukebox, based on Ted's touchy feely moment: "Don't Stand So Close to Me"

Scottie McW., Ted wraps up his visit before Mary raps him. Doesn't look like she wrapped up any muffins to go, either.

Wanders, thanks for injecting a welcome dose of reality with all those questions. This being Baren Koy's Worthiverse, none of them will occur to Mary. I fear that the rest of the week will be consumed by Mary musing about taking risks, probably with the always useless Toby.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"A Little Of Ted, Mary Realizes, Goes A Long Way".

Selling any.
Thanks!
Together great!
Goodbye!

@Regina--I feel like people who read and comment extensively about Mary Worth would not be too judgy about much of anything (else). ;-)

Oh, if only Mary would ask even one or two of Wanders’ excellent questions. But it will probably only take a warmly inappropriate hug to convince her that Ted can market unicorns and rainbows, let alone stodgy old blueberry and carrot muffins.

Who is the blonde kid in the photograph?

Scottie, KitKat, Sandi: Me too! (Or, I should say "I, too!") Meanwhile, Mary is about to join the #Me Too movement.

That's the kid Mary saved from kidnapping a few years ago.

The woman in the photo looks like the same one shown February 6. That one had no kid, and seemed to be on the other side of the door.

@Downpuppy: Mary changes the photos on display in her apartment on a daily basis, to make her think more people adore her.

One further question for Ted. Muffins? We need more muffins? Has anyone asked Ted what he sold?

Perhaps another good question for Ted - Are you aware that there is a big difference between sales and marketing?
