Mary Worth 138

Uh oh. Mary's mother had to work. That spells trouble. This story is going to be great! Of course, I had hoped we'd get a flashback and see Mary hussling the streets of Detroit in her youth, but I think having Mary stand by that house for three weeks and just tell the story is such a better way to go.

  2. Well, thank you very much gianyu. Mary Worth is an ancient comic strip in primarily American newspapers, which many find hilarious, although that is not the intended response.

  4. A flashback would at least settle the issue of Mary's gender in her youth.

Perhaps the prostitution angle is a red herring and the real story is who Mary's father is and why he was out of the picture? Was he a sailor on shore leave? Did he go to prison? Did he cut short his tempestuous affair with Mary's mother because he became President?

  5. Yeah, I really wanna see a 1940s-era Mary with her trademark salmon sweater set, neck scarf and permanent brow wrinkle proffering "advice" to her kindergarten classmates: "Always color within the lines." "Eat everything on your palte. You never know when your father will disappear."
