And let's also toast to the endless possibilities of a new Mary Worth story which will get underway in just another week or two as soon as this ridiculous toast is concluded.
What does she mean by a "stronger and improved team?" Is this some sort of hidden clue that Moy has been fired and someone new is coming in? I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I notice the blood in Mary Worth's glass has turned black. Lynn's transformation to soulless minion is complete.
Thank goodness! This story made me yearn for the heart-pounding excitement of Toby's credit card fraud. Wonder what the next story will be? Mary gets home, only to find out that Toby didn't water her plants, like she promised, and her ficus has died? Jeff has a nasty case of shingles? A psychic has moved into Charterstone, and has channeled Aldo's restless spirit? Oh, we can only hope!
ReplyDeleteLet's summarize. Within two days or so real time we have:
ReplyDeleteA coach to be touted.
A championship skater.
The coach to be touted exhorts skater to keep it tight.
Skater faints.
Skater reveals lost love and has mental meltdown.
Mary tells couch to be touted to back off.
Coach to be touted says I love you.
Skater tells coach to be touted to piss off.
Skater wins skating game without coach to be touted.
Choreographer appears.
Mary is lauded for wisdom.
Choreographer becomes trainer.
Choreographer turned trainer toasts herself as new training team.
Mary's wine turns to blood.
Readers wish for trained monkey to be fired and replaced with writer.
I love the little random statue behind Lynn in panel 2. Is she/it mad?, is it about to leap off the shelf onto Lynn's back? Is it suffering from a frequent and sudden "urge"?
ReplyDeleteVicky the choreographer sure likes her hooch. Her glass is twice as big and fuller than the others!
ReplyDeleteMary has her goblet of prune juice and Lynn wisely sips a Diet Sprite. Let the fun begin!
Oh, it could be wanting to jump over and swing on that chopped off pony tail.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....Before Mary there was Frank and Vicky. After Mary there will be Frank and Vicki? How is Lynn less alone than she was before? Was Lynn being alone ever an issue? With Moy it's one non sequitur after another. This is truly Theatre of the absurd.
ReplyDeleteVicky shops at Plymouth; hair at SuperCuts. Most unlikely looking choreographer, female division, that I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with BaHa. Vicky looks more like a women's basketball coach, instead of an ice skating choreographer...Not that there's anything wrong with that!
ReplyDeleteWho's Moustache McChesthair in the background in panel 1? Because I'd rather follow him.
