Delilah Jonis definitely has a crack with lots of light getting in. She calls Mary just to say how happy she and Lawrence are, when in reality she's run away from home again and is hiding out at the Yellowstone Lodge. As we learned last spring, her home in the Valley is nowhere near as nice:
Today's Full Strip
Oh Mary, you never disappoint. So full of platitudes. I feel better already.
ReplyDeletePossibly Del & Lawrence felt the need for larger quarters to accommodate a larger family.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, we see that Hospital HiFi, who was lurking in the background of Del's living room every day recently through Saturday, has now left Del's and is back in Scott's room.
Wanders is right! Delilah has fled the coop yet again, and is maxing out Larry's credit cards at the Yellowstone Lodge.
ReplyDeleteI mean, do you SEE Lawrence anywhere in all those panels? No! All I see is a lousy vintage tv set in panel two that probably has the $40 gov't conversion box thingy. I do NOT see her prized patio furniture, either.
"Cracks" also let in: moisture, wind, spiders, rats, cockroaches, debris, etc... Del's problems aren't over yet, Mary.
Face touch! And a smugly self-satisfied one, at that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for slipping that one in at the end panel there, Joe Giella!
AWESOME Leonard Cohen lyrics in a MW strip!
ReplyDeleteAnon, that is what I thought when I read that quote. We just saw Leonard Cohen in concert a few weeks ago in Cleveland. That was the best concert I have ever experienced. Every song was absolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually kind of fascinated that the colorists made the new Jonis house the same colors as the old Jonis house, even though the old one was a split-level kind of thing and the new one is a grand collonaded structure. Colored that way it looks like it's made of Lincoln Logs. Were they trying to establish some consistency despite Giella's drawing a totally different-looking house?
ReplyDeleteAhh, the pearls of wisdom continue to flow from Moy's pen.
ReplyDeleteThe Jonis' obviously have been a valued member of the HGTV House Hunters audience...now they can choose their dream home...
ReplyDeleteDel must be good in the sack, look at the new house she got....
