Mary Worth 725

Can you really blame Uncle Joe for recycling his art when the dialog is largely recycled as well.

But I know what Señor Erñie means when he yells, "Do something," at his wife. I spend a lot of time yelling "Do something!" at Mary Worth's characters myself.

  5. Could be both shopping and eating. Those two bags could have been full of food! Or maybe they were full of plus sized clothing that she needed to purchase after compulsively eating. I'm just sayin'.

We all signed this agreement when we moved in":

..."Please be considerate of your neighbors. Repeated use of loud and/or profane language shall be grounds for eviction from the condo units if said language disturbs other residents."

  8. No, Wanders pegged it. When Ernie gets serious, Ernie dons a sombrero.

  9. maybe B?BJ? could clip coupons or something as she hums the tune, "Don't Worry, Be Happy!"

That Ernie? is such a bother.

  10. Faith: Marcy's DOES have an extensive gourmet food department.

    They even serve salmon octagons.

    You may be right.

The Johnsons? may also be so poor, as a result of B?B?J?'s shopping, that they cannot afford real food, except fast food from WANDYS, or BURGER PRINCE.

No wonder they likes Mary's cooking so much.

  11. @Chester - Yes, and I do think B?BJ? sneaks off down to Starbreaks for those $4 coffees and cheese danishes every day. Those things add up after awhile!

  12. The consensus seems to be either that B?B is a shopoholic or a compulsive eater. I must disagree: If she were a shopoholic, she'd do it on the internets; if she were a compulsive eater, the solution is too easy—one serving of salmon squares and B?B would give up food for the duration. My hunch: B?B is a kleptomaniac/shoplifter at Marcy's.

  13. OMG! Has anyone seen Saturday's strip? Forget Bonnie and/or Ernie's mysterious situation- Mary has gone BLONDE!

  14. Saturday strip: Wow! The little girl who colors this comic strip must've thought that was Toby! Mary's a vixen, rowr!

And that same panel is used again. Somebody check Giella's drip for a clog...

  15. Man, Mary's taken 10 years off with that new color! The worry lines on the forehead betray her age, though. The meddling and fretting has embedded those suckers in there and no amount of Botox can fight them.

Bonnie?'s got to have a spending problem. It's not just Marcy's - Fjordstrom, Niceman Marcus, and Saks Poor Avenue have all come calling for payment on B?'s credit cards. It's the only thing that makes sense. Or maybe she's ignoring a health problem?

  16. PS - or what if B? has a strange addiction to collecting eccentric figures and other oddities? Perhaps she hoards African masks she buys from ebay. Or old, moldy kimonos.

    Or how about ceramic platypuses?

  17. Taryn -- then perhaps Toby is the one who should be befriending her with her miniatures.
