ReplyDeleteHow can a story line be built around Mary's helping with the wedding? Will there be a week devoted to picking out invitations? Deciding who to invite? Choosing the, uh, venue? Wrapping favors for the reception? The mind boggles.
ReplyDeleteThis story should wrap up with a Valentine's Day wedding, which leaves Mary plenty of time to save the struggling relationship of a bridesmaid, family member, or someone else invited to the wedding. Like Drew!

@ Vicki: I think you're right about a demon brew. Their steaming cups of Bovril beef extract are so delicious, they can barely pull them away from their mouths as they are speaking. If that's not the work of a demon, I don't know what is.
ReplyDeleteI hate to be repetitive, but curtains on the outside of the house?!?!?! Now that's a new low for Giella.
I think I figured out the curtains part. Mary and Jeff have decided to drink their coffee and have their conversation while perched on the ledge outside the window. They're trying to keep their conversation private from the HAL9000 (or is that the MOY9000) computer.

ReplyDeleteThe awkward way Mary and Jeff are holding their mugs in this panel reminds me of the way pandas hold bamboo branches. I hope they're careful not to spill the ever-steaming liquid, because I don't want to watch Mary clean for days on end.

ReplyDeleteWouldn't that make an entertaining story? Mary goes about planning Adrian's wedding. BUT WE KNOW that she is being followed by someone who wants to kill her! No harm would come to Mary, of course. Like Tweety bird, she would be completely unaware that she's escaped danger at every turn.
Tony, what do you mean "How can a storyline be built around Mary helping with the wedding?" It's already taken three days for Mary and Jeff to drink a cup of coffee. Compared to that, a week of picking out wedding invitations will be the equivalent of a high-speed car chase.
