I hope Hospital Hi-Fi isn't miffed that she wasn't asked to do the invitations. She's a wiz with mail merge and can produce all kinds of lovely fonts on ekg test strips.
Okay, I was wrong about Scott. I wonder if he's armed. This could end in a violent stand off.
Jill is looking right at me. I do so have imagination! Wanders, don't take it personally, I'm sure she's not talking about you either. She's just lashing out. It's her A-type personality.
Maggie, yes, that's the Dr. Lady from Space Mutiny. The silhouetted figures are actually John and Elly Patterson and a slide projector. It's kind of a long story.
They do so have imagination, Jill! They imagined you would make the choosing of invitations a delightful experience. Well, it's delightful for US, if not for those who actually have to interact with Miss Pushy.
Love all your comments! Did you notice how swiftly and stealthily Mary moved from one side of the room in panel 1 to right behind Jill? It's freaky. Will Mary clobber Jill over the head now? Or will she use an antique letter opener to stab her in the back....I mean the front?
I wish you people would all just leave Jill alone. She's quite obviously the only one with any taste and imagination. Besides, she also has apparently shut Mary up, which in itself is quite an accomplishment.
I'm enjoying today's comments as well, and am creeped out by Ann, er Jill, staring at me angrily. I have two questions. Are we ever going to find out what axe Jill has to grind against this couple? It seemed early on as though she had some personal connection that was going to surface, in an interesting way. (I use the word "interesting" loosely.). Also, has Mary changed into... a lab coat?
Yes, Shmoopie, I think Mary's sneaking up behind Jill means she's ready to act. I just can't wait for tmorrow to see what she does! I wonder if she'll have new platitudes to hit her over the head with.
who has freinds like this ??? adrian is still wearing the same clothes from the other day !i predict the end of this story will be jill giving the dumb couple a real tacky wedding present.
Jill is obviously cranky because she's jealous of Adrian & Scott's love, and once Scott sets her up with some boring buddy of his, she'll get all dreamy-eyed and start planning a wedding of her own- even if the guy lives in his mother's basement and sleeps on a cot next to the dryer. You people have no imagination!
I love Scott's guy face in this panel! He's thinking, "Adrian, you didn't tell me Jill was such a fruitcake!" Or he's planning his escape, "You ladies don't really need me getting in the way."
"the problem with you people is you don't have any imagination!" Well, DUH. Jill, don't you realize what comic you're in? Maybe she's not evil, just trapped in this comic and not able to get out. That would make her attitude thus far forgivable.
Sorry, Wanders; I hadn't read today's secret message until AFTER I previously posted. Which proves that even if I have no imagination, I'm in good company!
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

ReplyDeleteOkay, I was wrong about Scott. I wonder if he's armed. This could end in a violent stand off.
Well, the wall directly opposite the sarcophagi and filing cabinets is chock a block with frilliness, you betcha!

ReplyDeleteP.S. Toots, is your icon from Space Mutiny? That was one of my most treasured MST3K's.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, yes, that's the Dr. Lady from Space Mutiny. The silhouetted figures are actually John and Elly Patterson and a slide projector. It's kind of a long story.
ReplyDeleteJill sees nothing but mediocrity in Santa Royale.
ReplyDeleteJill is SO us.
Scott is trying to poke through the bullet hole in his head to find the 'off' switch on his brain.
ReplyDelete"Naptime again, girls! Wake me up for the honeymoon!"
I think they brought Jill along for a laugh.

ReplyDeleteIt would be entertaining to have Jill join the newlyweds on their honeymoon,
ReplyDeleteESPECIALLY if they decide upon a low-key, local spot.
Did Jill really shut up Mary?
ReplyDeleteIs Jill Mary's prying but arrogantly less helpful (buzzy) alter ego?
Now I feel buzzy; Jill IS talking to me!

ReplyDeleteThe problem with YOU, Jill, is that Karen Moy is modeling you after some 13-year-old bully she met on facebook!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Punky. How long is it going to take to find out why Jill is so bent on destroying Adrian?

Jill is looking directly at us readers! I'm offended.

ReplyDeleteI think that Adrian must feel obligated to be Jill's only friend because Jill is her boss and the Administrator of the hospital.
