Mary Worth 901

My knees? Well, the right one is fine, but ever since my bumbling daughter amputated my left leg, I've got a ghost itch that is driving me crazy.

  1. Fasten your seat belts: I have no idea where this ride is going.

  2. You know, reading that conversation convinced me that Dr Jeff and Mary are NOT intimate. It reads like two friends who very occasionally see each other.

  3. Why is Jeff's cane about to leave the room? Is it as bored as we are?

  4. Seriously, where is Jeff's left leg supposed to be? And why does he only use his "Just for Men" occasionally?

  5. Now THERE's a comfortable position, Dr. Jeff.....

  6. I just love Uncle Joe. He messes with Moy's lame story lines all the time. What better reason to need a cane than to have no left leg. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

  7. When my bum knee starts acting up, I always reach for Mondo Cane.

  8. I prefer Big Daddy Cane, if my knees hurt and I feel like cold chillin'.

  9. The way Jeff's walking stick seems to be making a break for it there, it almost looks like The Cane Mutiny.

  10. I'm wondering if the greenery that's surrounding ''Citizen Cane'' is a subtle hint that Jeff is using some home grown medical marijuana to ease his knee pain? No wonder Jeff is always so mellow! Maybe he can talk to Jill, and advise her to ''Just chill, it's all good...Here, have a salmon square! They're AWESOME! ''

  11. Moy is so clever! She used that same "citizen cane" line when Ella Bird came to visit. (Only it sounded much cuter when Ella said it.) But I digress...

I for one, am SHOCKED, as I didn't know Jeff even USED a cane, or had bad knees! Where have I been!!??
Well, I suppose it's from an old football injury because Jeff is such a stud! Whatever does he need to discuss with Mary about... THE WEDDING? I'm on the edge of my seat!

  12. I hope for Christmas, he'll use Candy Cane instead of Citizen.

  13. Love today's comments, especially the Caine Mutiny. I was marveling that just when we think the dialogue couldn't get any more banal, we get the burning question "How are your knees?" I bet if the dialogue for every comic strip ever written was archived, you could search for that phrase and this would be its first-ever occurrence. Way to go, Karen Moy!

  14. Why does Dr. Jeff need a cane at all? Apparently that Lazy-Boy is some kind of motorized wheelchair. In panel one, he's in a room with a curtain behind him and a window to his left. In panel two the curtain has turned into a fireplace, and the window has become a hallway. I hope he doesn't have any trouble steering that chair into the bathroom.
