Mary Worth 933

You mean, erase from our memories the most memorable, spectacular, excellent moment in Mary Worth in 2010? A moment so awesome that Joe Giella has chosen to recreate it for today's strip just to remind us of what you want us to erase? Consider it erased.

  1. Oh, Jill! You are so funny! Always the kidder, our Jill!

  2. Hmmmm...'...the past only exists in how you remember it', according to Mary. Perhaps Mary will need to demonstrate her amazing powers of mind control, because frankly, this is one scene I really don't want to forget!!

  3. Mary certainly looks pleased that Jill has taken her words to heart.

  4. So funny! The past only exists in how you remember it, and here's a panel to make sure you don't forget!

  5. It is a paradox. Try to erase something from your memoory, and, to help, here is a recap of that memory. You forget the original memory, but you remember the recap of the memory you were told to forget. Oww...

Jill must have written this halfway through her hangover.

  6. Was Jill wearing those modesty-preserving black bike shorts in the original panel?

  7. I don't remember the bike shorts, but when she was sitting on the curb in a drunken stupor, Jill was wearing lovely purple knee-high boots.

  8. The past only exists in how you remember it. Well then, I guess if I choose to remember that I discovered the cure for bad writing when I was in first grade, then indeed I must have!

  9. Oooh, Mary's advice sounds like life in "The Matrix". I will now attemt to remember "Mary Worth" as being well written and winter in N.E. Ohio as being warm.

  10. Jill's mod purple minidresses & matching boots remind me of Daphne from Scooby Doo. Come to think of it, slap a pair of geek girl glasses and a turtleneck on Adrian, and she's a dead ringer for Velma- and Scott could pass as Alan, if he was wearing bell bottoms and an ascot.

  11. ^^ Oops, that would be Fred, NOT Alan! I was thinking of Josie & the Pussycats.

  12. "Please erase from your memories what occurred yesterday, so that a few years from now, when your own relationship has gone sour and your devoted hubby is cheating with some floozy, the devastation will be fully as soul-crushing for you as it was for me!"

  13. How appropriate for this comic. One brief moment of awesomeness and the comic begs us to forget it. AS IF. Also, someone should tell Jill that the best way to get people to forget your humiliating faux pas is not to put it down in writing and send it to people.

  14. Amanda Kate: so true, on both counts!

I always like to find favorite parts of every panel. Once Birdie pointed out the waiter slugging the innocent bystander, I couldn't look away! And I'm transfixed by the look on Dr. Jeff's face here. Must. Push. Drunk. Lady.

  15. Stop remembering my awesome rampage at your rehearsal dinner. Stop remembering my awesome rampage at your rehearsal dinner. Stop remembering my awesome rampage at your rehearsal dinner...

  16. Jill channels Deborah Kerr in Tea and Sympathy: "Years from now when you think of your rehearsal dinner - and I've made sure to repeat the Worthy Award-winning "Jill ruining Adrian and Scott's rehearsal dinner" panel, so you WILL - be kind...."

  17. Does anyone know the date of the strip when the rehearsal dinner started? I'm just wondering how long we've been experiencing the past 24 hours of Adrian's life, and if the wedding will ever end.

  18. Choose to forget... is that my ex-wife speaking?

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
