Jeff, the Chin, Corey is like a drug pusher. He just won't quit until Mary is good and hooked.
On the kudos side to the QA team of Mary Worth: despite the unfortunate face morphing and couch expanding/contracting, I'd just like to say I am most impressed by the fact that the couch, drapes and even the clothing of our protagonists have remained the same color for 4 days in a row. Well done, well done!
You know, I've been reading this since Monday and I still can't figure out where Moy is going with this story-line.
Her "story-lines" lately have been text placed around product-placement and this one seems to have reached the end of its viability. But, of course, I know I'm wrong and Moy will somehow justify a "story" around Kindles.
OMG - did Moy just buy a Kindle, and is trying to justify it to herself?? Will we ever get out of this twilight zone-like quagmire of a story line? I won't give up my nook, no matter what Mary decides!!
I love this picture of Mary Worth. So iconic. Someday, when we are thrust again into the Dark Ages and people are back to painting icons, surely they will depict the miracle of Saint Mary of Santa Royale and "The Resistance of the Nook."
STOP the FIGHTING It's tearing you apart! Jeff, try to respect that Mary prefers to be the source of power for otherwise impotent things, like garden clippers, paperbacks, and... well... you. Go find Citizen Cane and let's calm down for a bit.
An e-reader would be great by the pool. Just in case, you know, anyone wanted to have a pool party. Because how am I supposed to know when one story ends and a new one begins if there's no pool party.
@phoebes - I'm with you. I can't see where this might be leading us, or how it might connect to any of the MANY dangling plotlines that we just veered away from. Jill the jill-tee! Adrian and Scott, speeding off to their honeymoon just up the road, with a packed trunk! Drew, who made it home from Vietnam for the wedding, only to discover his father and sister were much more interested in a gift someone left on a pile! Are Moy and Giella doing the equivalent of sitting on the couch along with Mary and Jeff, sipping tea, and uttering banalities to rest up? Or is this what 2011 has in store for us? I wonder what a new reader would think, happening on the Mary Worth comic this week for the very first time.
Word has it that Ron Amalfi ALSO prefers "real" books to those fancy schmancy instant readers! So back off there, Jeff! This might also be a good time for you to take Mary to the Bum Boat for some SEAFOOD. It's been awhile, hasn't it, Jeff? Just sayin'.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

ReplyDeleteThis is like reading a review on CNET, if such reviews scrupulously avoided all mentions of brand names, technical details, and product rankings.
ReplyDeleteYou can stop the passive aggression Jeff. It's not going to work on Mary.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is amazing. It's like watching a car crash except replace the cars with two people sitting on a sofa talking about a kindle.
ReplyDeleteIs Huell Howser ghost writing this?

ReplyDelete...maybe without the coffee cup though.
ReplyDeleteHey, did Adrian and Scott ever open their stash?

I wonder what Toby thinks of portable reading devices. I hope Mary asks her next week as this fascinating story continues!

ReplyDeleteSo WHERE IS IT, MOY?
Just sayin'.

ReplyDeleteWow, Mary switched hands on the coffee cup pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Jeff so adamant that Mary use his Kindle?...Oh my god. IT'S A BOMB. Run, Mary, run!

ReplyDeletePunky, you win Comment of the Day. (Sorry, Wanders, I couldn't help myself.)
Let it go, Jeff. Persisting on this will not improve your chances of becoming Mr. Mary Worth.
