What the heck are they drinking?? In the first panel, Wilbur has some kind of green ping pong ball on the edge of his glass, and by the second panel Mary has clearly decided she wants that one, and takes Wilbur's. When will this madness end?!
I'm not as concerned by the pingpong balls as the contents of the glass itself. It almost looks like Mary has ice cubes in a glass of chocolate milk, and an orange slice to finish it off!
The beverage is probably Ovaltine. Then again, maybe they're drinking tall glasses of Bailey's; this segue could finally get interesting (a la Jill Black).
Mary needs a change of locale to stimulate interesting story lines. I see Mary moving to Las Vegas and signing on as a Madam for a local brothal. With Moy's storytelling ability, the possibilities are endless.
Mary's expression belies her true feelings even though she's saying how glad she is... Dawn recovered without a major intervention, and Mary just can't take it. THE HORROR.
It was Oberon release day here in Michigan (and probably elsewhere) yesterday, so I'm thinking that they are drinking that and committed the sacrilege of putting an orange slice in their beer. http://bellsbeer.com/
Mary has quite a death grip on that glass of choco-orange milk. She is really steamed that her chances for meddling in this situation have been greatly reduced--with just one kite-flying session. She's nearly crushing the glass, but it isn't breaking. Has Wilbur invented a new shape-shifting polymer?
Meanwhile, now that Wilbur is following her on Twitter and overseeing her online conversations, Dawn is desperately trying to find new ways to get out the message that she needs help escaping from this bizarre prison. Unfortunately, almost everyone she knows is in on Wilbur's plot to keep her confined forever in her childhood room.
She tried putting a message in her kite, but was unable to break the string at the appropriate time to set the message loose. Now she plans to do paintings with a secret message hidden in the paint. The question is, will anyone buy the paintings and discover the message? Or will she be doomed to live the life of a 7 year old forever?
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
I never thought I'd say this: I wish Adrian and Scott would come home from their honeymoon.

ReplyDeleteWhy is Mary holding a pack of cigarettes? Is it some kind of statement about addiction? Or a clue to the next storyline?

ReplyDeleteMary just can't comprehend how to use Wilburs new drinkware.
ReplyDeleteYUM! Chocolate milk with a lime twist! : )
ReplyDeleteI kind of miss Wilbur's amoeba shirt, and Mary's very tall "putting-away-the groceries" stool! I mean, are we just supposed to FORGET about those?
