Mary Worth 1,008

I'm starting to get really excited about this story. As soon as Liza's Borderline Personality Disorder starts to manifest its negative traits, Drew is totally NOT going to find the happiness his father thinks he deserves. Instead, he's going to find the misery the rest of us think he deserves. I want these two to get married so badly. Just no children, okay? Because that would not be fair to the innocent children.

  1. That kiss is not very romantic. It looks like two people whose heads are being smashed together by an outside force. I guess it is hard to draw what lips look like when they are in the act of kissing. Giella should go for a full on Simpsons type look where the lips distend freakishly and lock together like docking spaceships.

  2. I'm impressed by the apparent kinetic energy released by the kiss. The most potential buzzy feeling that haunting me through this "plot" has been the temptation to nod off.

  3. I've never seen a two-headed unibrow before.

  4. There are small purple people running around in town, and the next panel shows the kinetic energy thing. Is the Worthiverse being invaded by aliens with strange powers? And can we stay awake long enough to find out??

  5. I think this is more action than we ever saw between Adrian & Scott- and they're still on their month-long ''local'' honeymoon!

  6. I'm more interested int he first panel actually. In the background, is that a quality Moy/Giella drawn reflection of Dr. Drew, or a vigalante looking for his cousin's killer?

I'm personally in the camp that it's Dr. Drew's reflection since it is facing the opposite direction and wearing a hat.

  7. Clearly, Lizzza is in control of this relationship.

  8. Hopefully , the glow surrounding our duo-denim ,
is the light of an oncoming plot train.

  10. In the closeup I was struck by how BLUE Dr. Drew's hair is, and how it reminds me of the blue of Dr. Mike's hair. (sigh....) I guess all the doctors at Mountview must have blue hair and be in need of love.

I saw that little purple person in the first panel as Worky McWorkerson, the town's one blue-collar worker.

  11. @Punky--it may be a stagehand who didn't get out of the panel in time after setting it up.

  12. @djangosmom 11:46: That's what is so cool! Dr. Drew has no idea what he is in for. Maybe this story will turn out to be interesting after all...naaah.

  13. Talk about "purple boots of boozing." That guy coming out of the theatre didn't get the memo that only his boots should be purple.

  14. Liza's hand appears to be rather small. She probably couldn't get much done around the hospital even if she had wanted to.

  15. You realize people don't talk like that in the real world, right?
