  2. Nola must be a masochist. Why else would she invite such a critical bitty to lunch?

I say, throw that glass of white stuff at Mary then, storm out of the restaurant like a proper schemer.

  3. The black storm clouds of righteous wrath are gathering behind Mary.

    Goodbye, Nola.

WV: tingran eloalso...everyone is fleeing the storm clouds of righteous wrath!

  4. Isn't this a little early in the story for platitudes?

  5. My daughter and I are compelled to attempt to replicate the anatomy-defying hand gestures in each day's panels. Today I may have strained a ligament in my wrist.
And can we pleeeze get to the juicy part about Nola's boyfriend cheating on her? That was the whole point of Nola asking for Mary's advice. Focus, Nola!

  6. hmmm...REALLY, Mary? Aldo Kelrast's life for a little peace and quiet comes to mind...capiche?

  7. Anonymous, it's NEVER too early for platitudes (or face-touching) in the Worthiverse!

  8. But but but - without harming others, Mary, what would you talk about?? And what would keep us this spell-bound?

  9. Read yesterday's dialogue together with today's and tell me that you don't love Mary Worth and her verbal jujitsu skills!

Wanders, that frame of Mary dispensing her advice would make an awesome desktop background for my computer! ... a really, really creepy desktop background

  11. My child watched Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first time with me tonight. I think this storyline may end in a similar manner with Nola's face melting off as she screams in terror, and lightning bolts firing wildly from Mary's eyes.

  12. [SUNDAY] Wow, I am so confused by the ever-changing dining area of "LUNA" restaurant! All last week I thought Mary and Nola were dining inside, yet in the third panel today they're outside! What gives?

  13. [Sunday] Luna Restaurant, huh? The "T-I-C" letters must have fallen off the wall. Maybe that explains why Mary and Nola were indoors, then outdoors, then indoors....

The service at Luna is as bad as the service at Diner. Mary and Nola have been there sipping water for ages, but no food has appeared on those tiny gray dishes. The wait staff must be distracted.

  14. I have to wonder why she's sharing all of this with Mary. I know if I got someone unjustly fired so I could have his job, I wouldn't be telling anyone.

  15. This inside/outside Luna scenario is probably to remind us kiddos that Nola is c-r-a-z-y and this is NOT the path we should all go down!
Otherwise, of course, we'd all be fawning over Nola's apartment(s), her nice, "sharp dresser" clothes, her job promotion, etc. and want these things for ourselves. Thank goodness we have Mary as our conscience!
I wonder if Luna serves tuna?

  16. Monday, March 5 - Panel 1:

    Talk to the hand, Mary!

    (not sure whose hand, though...)

  17. Monday - Luna has morphed again! If I didn't know better, I'd think Mary and Nola were at Diner. Where's the patio with the potted shrubbery? Where are the pink draperies? Who put up those blinds? And, most of all, how many more days are Mary and Nola going to say the same things? (Maybe the repetition is making Nola sick - she's about to put her finger down her throat to make herself retch. Should we all do the same?)
