After they walk off the end of the pier and into the water, Jim, unaccustomed to swimming without his left arm, will drown. Of course Dawn, excellent swimmer that she is, will save herself. The seagulls, perched on Jim's floating prosthetic arm, will drift into the sunset.
Either Jim is shrinking or Dawn is growing, because up to today, Jim had a good six inches on Dawn. Now that Jim has come around to Dawn's terms in this relationship, maybe they will merge into one entity - let's call it Dim.
My word verification is "istamme," which I interpret as "It's time" (for a new plot).
A truism in the Worthiverse: The worse a story gets, the more awesome and creative the comments become. This blog makes my day every morning! Now I can't wait for the recaps (Wilbur, Mary, Toby, random person in Community College/hospital cafeteria/at THE PIER, etc.) to be done with and the start of a beautiful new non-Dawn story! BTW, I keep waiting for that one creepy seagull we always see in profile to turn towards us suddenly and say something VERY profound.

Okay, now the pier has the more familiar planks to walk on. The panel Wanders included is a perspective nightmare. Is there a whole section missing a railing off to the left? Talk about dangerous.
Okay, but seriuosly, what is up with these crates!? It reminds me of waiting in line to get on the Jungle Cruise at Disney World and you file past all these replicas of stuff like you're about to board the African Queen...Hey there's a thought, maybe Dawn should take Jim to see the African Queen, just to see if he's really over his fear of the water and/or boating mishaps.
Well. . . Toots, I would agree with your reference to the "African Queen", given Jim's penchant for movies with Humphrey Bogart, but I fear he is too new in his PTSD recovery to attempt a movie about a boat. . .I don't want to see his angry face again.
The seagull that is always present; What is it going to do, now that the story line is over? Shouldn't some kind of advising thought bubble come forth from the aviary friend of Dawn/Jim? That bird has been there since the beginning, listening to DawnJim babble. Please! A thought?
