Mary Worth 1,652

Maybe this is why everyone at Pax is having such a good time: No one has ever been on a vacation before and thinks this is what it is supposed to be like.

  1. I've been reading May Worth for about 35 years. Also brain numbing work.

  2. Last week felt like a couple of decades of MW alone!

But not alone... isn't that the frumptastic waitress from Diner or some place like that? Sure, I could go through the archives and find out where I've seen her before, but that would only intensify the side effects.

  3. This is the first vacation Mary's taken since the Twelfth of Never.

Mr. Angry Commentor is so full of rage, his stomach is inflating!

  4. Sitting with a group of strangers and telling them how much I hate my job sounds like a dream vacation! Sign me up!

Seriously though, Blond Woman is starting to curl up into a fetal position. It's time to ditch this gang and go have some fun before you have to pack up and return to your dreary life.

  5. Poor Guy. Twenty-five years in a secure government job. I feel for him. I really do.

Pax Wellness is making me sick.

  6. Earth to Moy: Unless you have Mary come down hard on Mr. Sunshine, I am amazed(I shouldn't be) at your tone deafness in portraying a group of pampered vacationers sympathizing with someone whining about his 25 years of gainful employment. Responses of "we hear you" and "I can relate" take Moy to a new level of asinity.

  7. Boohoo, cry me a river and dry it up with Chin Napkin's disposable brother, Chin Tissue.

  8. Forever is composed of todays.
Yesterday he was thinking about tomorrow.
    Tomorrow is today
    and he's talking about yesterday.
He took forever to break away.

    It's about time, she said.

Meg, Chin Tissue is his cousin. Dirty Napkin is his brother. I know, it's a big family and it's hard to keep them all straight.

  10. Ooh..."I can relate"! That's some pretty heavy Encounter Group terminology. Am I to believe that Mary Worth has moved up to the 1970's?

  11. Is the blond June?

  12. Thursday: This is one reason why "discussion groups" need more direction other than, "Say whatever comes to mind!"
The pampered spa guests are all going to interrupt each other while sharing their problems in an one-upmanship free-for-all, and what is Shannon to do? It's a good thing Mary Worth is there to help in the midst of an impending maelstrom of comments.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
