I think in Panel One Mary Worth is using her right arm to dismantle Iris's front door frame. Doesn't she have a passkey for every condo at Charterstone?
If sweeping the floors at Jerry's is Tommuy boy's best employment option, he might want to look into advancing his education. I am sure that Wilbur, who appears to be of independent means, would foot the bill. Mary could be his tutor.
Oh, Mary, Mary, Mary! Living in a world of butterflies and lollipops and gummi bears and sparkly unicorns and magical thinking. Prison, shmison! Pick up that mop, Tommy, and fly a magic carpet down to Jerry's to show him what you're made of. Because if your mother believes in you and Mary believes in you, what else could follow but success on all fronts?
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Despond not, Tommy! Mary Worth believes in you! You can turn things around and be 2 Legit to Quit!
ReplyDelete"It's just not as easy as I thought it'd be! Just like it's not easy to hold this hot casserole dish while you yammer on - OWWWW!!"
ReplyDeleteHow many days before Iris arrives and gives Tommy the good news about the janitor job at Jerry's?
Why did 'You can do it' come out in Rob Schneider's voice?
ReplyDeleteApparently Tommy hasn't watched 'Frozen' while lounging on the couch (sing along, Tommy):
"...I’m never going back,
The past is in the past
Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone."
(ok, maybe strike the last line, but with that hair, it's an easy mistake to make...)
Again with the pointing.
ReplyDeleteKen Kensington--looking down benevolently from his picture frame--believes Tommy can do it too.
ReplyDeletePreach it, Mary!

ReplyDeleteWhen Mary breaks out the finger point, you know it's time for some heavy meddle.

What a blah pep talk. "Ask Wendy" could do better. Oh, wait...Mary and "Wendy" are the same.
