Yep, let's shuffle Hanna off to assisted living. If she's lucky, they have a strict "no children" policy that will prevent Amy from dropping little Gordy off any more. (Warning--the initial buy-in at the better retirement communities can be pretty hefty.)
When equestrians see a horse that is underweight we say it could use some groceries. Hanna Dingdon needs some groceries, which she is no longer able to procure for herself, but clearly are more than plentiful at Somerset. Felicia looks to be of good flesh (another horse term) and perhaps has participated in the Somerset Botox parties.Sell it, Mary! Get Hanna to move to Somerset so she is no longer a burden but you can feel good about "helping" her.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Dear former Charterstoner Felicia looks eerily like Sada Thompson, the mom on the old show Family.
ReplyDeleteOf course to Moy, that would seem awfully avant garde.
More like Thelma Pelish (Mae in The Pajama game). 1957 might not seem so avant garde.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who the Mary Worth of Somerset is. Do they have pool parties there? Salmon squares?

ReplyDeleteNow we will have several weeks of Hanna telling Mary she doesn't want to live in a senior community.
ReplyDeleteMary: Oh, Felicia, it sounds like you've found the perfect situation!
ReplyDeleteFelicia: Oh, I have, Mary! And best of all, it's covered by my late husband's pension from Factory!
Mary (in Thought Bubble): If I'm not mistaken, Don Dingdon was a shift supervisor at Factory! I wonder if Hanna is aware of this benefit!
