Mary Worth 2011

"Hey, Mr. Miller, you shouldn't be moving that luggage yourself. We have an Italian who can help with that."

  1. Darn! I was hoping for more zoo wisdom and Gordy being best man at the wedding. Ahh..life goes on.

Hanna's old place must be jinxed. From the blind to infirmed, it sure doesn't seem like the place to be.

Maybe Mary can help him find his own mate, a man perhaps? Mary's eyes would bug out at the very thought of it. The scandal!

  2. Um, when did Mary move to the ground floor of Charterstone?

  3. Ground floor at Charterstone for Mary puts her in pole position.

  4. I thought that Mr. Alora was Hispanic? Maybe not, in the lily-white world of Charterstone.

Now, with whom shall we match the new guy? He's too young for Elinor Kinley, and too old for Dawn Weston. Will he lure Iris away from Wilbur? Or (shades of Ken Kensington), will Mary become attracted?

  5. The gray at the temples indicates that Adam Miller is a gentleman of a certain age. With his snazzy Members Only jacket and royal blue mom pants, he'll set hearts aflutter at Charterstone. I'm with @fauxprof: watch out, Dr. Jeff!

  6. Notice how quickly the story moved away from the Hand-Clutching Moment Of Reconnection And Near-Romance between Mary and Dr. Jeff.

    That was merely a reminder.

Now we are back to our Original Mission--Mary is on to meddle in the life of yet another Unsuspecting And Broken Charterstonian. With a cane! Let's see how often it changes sides.

  7. Smooth's comment got me thinking: has there ever been a same-sex couple in MW? I mean other than Mary and Toby.

"I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit before moving in. The ants are still rearranging the windows. It can be quite disorienting."

  9. So disappointed he didn't dazzle Mary with a palindrome - "Madam, I'm Adam". It would've been perfect.

  11. Oh, here we go! A new story and, right out of the starting gate, it’s already ridiculous. Who moves like this? The poor guy needs a cane and pulls a dolly with a half-ton of boxes and suitcases behind him with one hand. I can’t wait so see how he gets his furniture into the condo! And did Mary lurk in the bushes so she could pounce the moment she spotted the new tenant? How did she already know his name? People have called her a busybody, but that is an insult to busybodies. She is a stalker, plain and simple. And if that Adam Miller doesn’t have a problem she can fix, well, then by golly, she’ll just have to give him one. Curing the lame would be something new. Although – we all know that love conquers all, so Mary better start looking for a suitable mate. A physical therapist, perchance?
