Mary Worth 2101

"It was completely spontaneous! I mean, there was no way I could have staged that mugging in an effort to get Terry high on adrenaline, even if I am connected at all levels of law enforcement. Yeah, it was totally spontaneous!"

Today's strip

  1. Yes, totally spontaneous. I stalked her for months, browbeat her into going on daily dates, kept harping on what a great team we made, asked her to marry me many thousands of times, and then all of a sudden she said yes.

  2. Amazing that Terry's shoulder bag survived the mugging so well. Maybe's it's permanently attached to her arm.

What a colorful strip today, all nausea-inducing: Mary's faded fuchsia ensemble, Terry's cleavage-baring purple duds, Adam's ugly brown suit, those awful cars - bleah! And, to top it off, someone dropped what's either (a) a gold bar or (b) a big wedge of cheese on the parking lot.

  3. Adam Miller makes sure to placate Mary Worth by mentioning that the Whole Thing was totally Spontaneous.

Tomorrow, when Terry Bryson goes over to Mary's with a dozen strawberry muffins, she'll be sure to mention how Mary's strategy of Keeping An Open Mind and Letting Adam Miller Woo Her was exactly the right thing to do after all.

All good marriages are based upon a spontaneous moment.

  5. Now that Adam has snagged his woman, he's stopped using "Just for Men".

  6. He hasn't changed his suit since the mugging.

  7. @Mark Carolla at 3:16 p.m., maybe Adam has a closet full of brown suits, just like Adrian Monk had a closet of blazers and white shirts.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
