We all could use a little Mary in our lives. She helps us do our best and makes us feel better. And children are naturally drawn to her... or unnaturally.
It sounds like Mary is preparing to introduce Olive to a secret society of "Helpers" - "I will help you, and others will too!" Maybe KM is trying to channel J. K. Rowling. Instead of writing in a cafe, KM is hunkered down at a corner table in Serendipity, scribbling drivel.
KitKat, I love that phrase you wrote... "scribbling drivel"... It rolls off the tongue, and fits so perfectly when describing the conversational content of Mary Worth usually but ESPECIALLY over the past week. I fear I am resembling that teddy bear more and more as the days go by...
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Teddy sure looks happy to hear it. Perhaps Mary will save him from a dull life of shelf sitting.

ReplyDeleteIs Mary the new secret leader of the X-Men? And Olive is a mutant being recruited by Mary?
ReplyDeleteHas KM ever heard a child talk? Olive is just spooky. I guess I'm used to Mary talking like English is her second language.
ReplyDeleteAnd that Teddy bear is saying, "You gonna finish that ice cream?"
"And children are naturally drawn to her... or unnaturally."
ReplyDeleteEveryone is drawn unnaturally in the Mary-verse!
