Mary Worth 2205

Okay, can we just establish the fact that Mary and Olive ALWAYS know what each other means. There's no reason to say, "I know what you mean." Even though neither of them can verbalize the deep feelings and insights they experience at the world around them, it doesn't matter because the other will clearly understand. In fact, words don't need to be said at all. These two can just hang out together in complete silence, glancing at each other knowingly.

  1. I thought Danny Kaye was deceased, but there he is sitting right next to Mary. 'Tis the miracle of a good musical.

  2. Aren't they going to be surprised when they realized that they accidentally walked into The Book of Mormon instead of Matilda.

  3. Panel 1: Now we know what Morticia Addams looked like at age 10. (And she has a Mary-worthy smirk on her puss. A two-fer today!)

  4. Ah, yes, music is a profound, unexplainable experience. As is live theatre, dead dinosaurs, museums in general, and ice cream sundaes. Tell, me, does Olive ever act like a real kid having a good time? Has Karen Moy ever met a real kid?

  5. Is this plot ever going to go somewhere, or will it just wander about in a haze of platitudes and vague exclamations? We need tension! We need action! Bring it on, Moy!

  6. I'm having a profoundly emotional experience right now and I want it to stop.

  7. Flower fairies move me in a way I can't explain - Mary knows what I mean.

  8. Maybe Patti Lu Pone will burst onstage during Act One and tell Mary and Olive to shut up during the show!

  9. To continue with fauxprof's thought, has Karen Moy ever met a real old lady? Heck, has Karen Moy ever met any real people?

  10. Looks like the poor guy/Danny Kaye to Mary's left is actually being bumped by the conversation balloon. Ouch! Oh wait, its soft like a Charmin tissue...

BTW, does anyone else here think that this entire Mary/Olive plot line is vaguely unsettling and creepy? We've had nonsensical, unrealistic, funny and ludicrous plot lines over the last year, but this one is getting hard to tune into every day. I click and cringe.

  11. @tkraft ... I agree! Unsettling and creepy each day. On and on.

Ewwww! Just ewww! What a spot-on comment, Wanders, so gross and so fitting. I've said before that this plotline makes me sort of want to BARF! Yet I tune in, again and again, mostly because ... it's AWESOME!!!

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
