Mary Worth 2239

Whatever you do, don't look directly at the acrobats. It will only encourage them.

  2. How did Mary become such an expert on acrobat career paths? Is she a former belle of the balance beam herself?

  3. @Yahoonski, I love you! "Belle of the balance beam" is a perfectly scrumptious turn of phrase. And hasn't Uncle Joe been having the time of his life drawing those acrobats?

Is it just me, or is Sunday's strip full of double entendres ... perfectly illustrated by Ed and Evy glowing and holding hands so conspicuously above the table ... while the other hands are somewhere else?

"Don't let the brevity of an activity stop you from doing what you love." Are Ed and Evy going to do the activity that they love? Is Ed going to do what he loves? (Evy) Is Evy going to do what she loves? (Ed) Is "Ed" really short for "Edward," "Edmund," "Edgar," or "Theodore"? Or is it really short for "ED"? We've all seen the commercials ...

  5. Sorry to steal from Sideshow Mel, but this storyline is the height of tedium.

  6. "and after that?" said Olive, face stuffed with pork chops. "Will Mary leave and I can get my room back?"

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
