Mary Worth 2280

"All my friends are one variety: White. I wonder if I can find another color?"

  1. Observe the Local University students carrying the books from their classes: Advanced Grayology, Gray Basics, The Graying of America and, oooh, the girl in the back of panel 2 cradles a copy of 50 Shades of Gray. That one is actually a painting class textbook. Or a text for Toby's sculpture class.

  2. The blonde guy in panel 1 reminds me of Dave a little bit

  3. Got it, Mary! Make a variety of friends, pursue new interests - and always wear purple from head to toe. ALWAYS! Here I go. This is going to be so easy!

  4. Nope. Only one color.

  5. I live next door to a university, and I can tell you that absolutely none of the students dress like the kids in this strip. Dawn dresses too old for ME, and I'm in my 60's.

  6. I second what Carlye says. Especially the short-sleeved, Polo-type shirt on the guy. Even when we marked those down to fifty cents at the last two garage sales, they did not sell. And we had some from Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister. No Go.

The Salvation Army got them all.

And apparently gave them to Santa Royale University.

Olive has no friends. Dawn has no friends. Wilbur has no friends. From what I can see, Dr. Jeff has no friends. Besides having no friends, what else do they have in common? Hmmmmmmm?

Well, if she weren't so boring and always reading her textbooks, Dawn could hang out with me and Toby Cameron, livin' large and drinkin' margaritas out by the Charterstone pool!

When was the last time we had a pool party, by the way?

And why didn't Dr. Jeff pop the question to Mary Worth, that glib commitment-o-phobe? That would've been fun to watch!

  9. Is Dawn power-walking, or is she going to punch someone in the face? Like, maybe, herself?

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
