No one has ever accused Karen Moy of displaying a feverishly inventive imagination. Mr. Giella, on the other hand, has hit a home run with his transformation of a circa 1962 blackboard into a window into the past! Unfortunately, we're visiting Leonardo on a particularly bad day, judging by the look of him.
This is University? I remember learning something like this in, say, 4th grade. And PLEASE don't tell me that Mr. Harlan is going to be Dawn's next love interest?!? Ew.
Traditionally in the Worthiverse, men with mustaches have serious character flaws, or are out and out bad. Even when they look like Mr. Whipple in a green suit. I do hope that this is Dawn's new doomed romance.
Among his Diverse Talents, Leonardo could bake prize winning cakes, develop a beautiful rose garden, figure skate well into senescence, write advice to the lovelorn columns, run a condo association and still found time to volunteer at the local hospital. Alas he never married as where could a woman so talented be found then or now?
Apparently, Joe has been reading Cracked.com and taking his drawing cues from there. http://www.cracked.com/article_23766_5-famous-characters-you-didnt-know-died-stupid-deaths.html?wa_user1=2&wa_user2=Weird+World&wa_user3=article&wa_user4=feature_module
Why is the professor talking about Da Vinci in front of a picture of Gandalf? The substitute professor will be the target of Dawn's new bold and personal social skills, rather than the honest guy looking for people to hike with. It is a given that all of Dawn's relationships must fail or there could not be new plots about new ones (failing).
Panel 1: HahaHa! The Art Teacher redecorated the room to match his suit. Panel 2: Wait. What? So... Panel 1 was just the powerful green suit reflecting on the walls?
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Now that we've been bored by New York, it's time for boredom of a more Historical Nature.
ReplyDeleteKM, taking another few months off.
Today's secret message is a zinger, Wanders!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAH!!!This is the funniest panel. Shouldn't the instructors hand make a shadow on the...whatever kind of screen that is?

ReplyDeleteShouldn't DaVinci remind Dawn of Dave?
ReplyDelete(They haven't gotten to the lecture where they distinguish between Michelangelo and DaVinci)
I can't wait for Giella's depiction of the Mona Lisa.
ReplyDeleteA professor romancing a student would be a plot. So, not in this Worthiverse.

No shame. I love the site myself.
Sorry! I thought that would post as a hyperlink.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for Dawn to become obsessed with her teacher, but she'll probably just be "inspired" by his lecture to invent an old-timey flying machine.
