Let us not forget that long ago, before Mary redid here kitchen with a killer subway tile back splash and blue cabinetry, Dawn felt surrounded by people at school, but was still alone. Other friends never entered the picture. If Dawn ever did have other friends, they've long since forgotten her. Right now, marrying Harlan is her only hope for happiness.
Dawn could tell Mary about Alfie, but he may be more of an acquaintance, not a friend.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know whatever happened to One-Armed Jim.
Dawn's neck seems to be dislocated. Maybe she's not doing yoga enough. Or maybe she's not doing it right?
ReplyDeleteNow is when Mary will preach/advise with regard to Balance, and say many Lofty Things about Life Being More Than Just One Thing At A Time. This will be KM's clumsy way of sidestepping the Mess she got herself into with her tacit approval of an inappropriate relationship between Dawn and her teacher.
ReplyDeleteOr, probably not, since this is Mary WorthWorld, and Dawn has to find a husband.
Hmm. It seems like things are getting BETTER and WORSE at the same time.
ReplyDelete@Nance, none of the men Dawn crosses paths with is husband material. There was bipolar guy, whose name I can't recall; Dr. Drew the twit (age inappropriate); Faithless Dave (of Reminds Me Of Dave fame); and one-armed Jim (anger issues). How she overlooked Tommy Beedie I'll never know.
ReplyDeleteListen to me, Dawn. The solution is simple. All you need to do is transfer to another school. I suggest Trump University. You will then be able to ethically date Harlan and leave those mean girls behind.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of a long tradition of teachers and students bonding... Heloise and Abelard did not end well. Does Wilbur have servants?
ReplyDeleteSat 5/28 strip - another six fingered hand sighting - check out Dawn's left hand.
ReplyDeleteSaturday: Dawn helps Mary with the dishy-washy, but the advice she gets is wishy-washy.
ReplyDeleteThe one-armed man was last seen running away,
ReplyDeleteafter killing Richard Kimble's wife...
What other friends? Does Mary mean Wilbur, or those refugees from MacBeth?
ReplyDeleteSUNDAY:
ReplyDeletePanel Of The Year: Dawn stares maniacally at a chocolate chip cookie. This one is the Best Ever.
SUNDAY
ReplyDeleteWorlds of wonder:
Mary's kitchen looks like a normal space in which one might actually cook something.
I've never seen a chocolate chip cookie in Mary Worth before. Or are they Kelk chips?
Sunday Mary still scares me a little.
I want to see Sunday Wilbur REAL bad!
Sunday Wilbur: George Costanza.
ReplyDeleteElderly Mary is going to use that cookie to whack Dawn's friends. This older, gangsta Mary could be interesting!
ReplyDeleteStill, it's irresponsible to advise Dawn to keep seeing Professor Horrible. Dawn spending more time with her friends won't change things. They'll have more opportunity to gripe about her special ties to the teacher -- and they'll be right!
Can anybody make out what those little notes on the refrigerator say?
