Wanders, thank you for taking the time to post; it's great to have your wry commentary on today's MW "action" despite the madness of moving! Hope it's all going well!
Dawn says, "Yes, Mary, I am doing QUITE WELL, thank you. On Sundays, I'm much more beautiful, my hair actually moves and is no longer shellacked into a brittle helmet, my eyes have turned brown, and ... (you can see it in my eyes in panel four!) ... I'VE JOINED A CULT!!!"
Of course, the cult is the cult of Mary worshipers! Mariolatry for everyone! Now bring on the pool party so Dawn can spread the faith!
I really had hopes for a Sunday pool party, but I do like Sunday Mary's gardening hat. It makes her look even more sinister and witchlike. I'm not sure about the LeBron quote, though. We're pretty nervous here in NE Ohio right now and don't know whether it constitutes a good omen or a jinx.
I can't decide if my favorite panel today is the one where Mary looks like she's wearing a beekeeper's suit and Dawn is using ASL to sign "moose", or the final one, where Mary's heavily gloved hand passes a very thorny rose to Dawn's vulnerable, uncovered hand. Where's your compassion, Mary?
Gotta love that Sunday panel! we don't often get to see it. Given the quote from Lebron James, after Monday evening's game against the Warriors in the NBA Championship, he'll be the very strongest guy I know! ;)
Does this mean that on week-ends Mary is the gardener at the White House???? Is that Michelle peering out of the window in the Oval Office? As for continuity, there is none. On Sunday Mary's wearing long sleeves. On Monday they are short sleeves. On Sunday Mary is wearing a wide brimmed straw hat. On Monday she is hatless. Monday, Monday, can't trust that day according to the Mama's and the Papa's.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

Good luck with you move Wanders. May you have massive rose bushes filled with giant pink blossoms surrounding you new house.

A Lebron James quote? How charming. But in what context is this quote presented? Who was critical of whom?
ReplyDeleteI'm overthinking again. Sigh.
