Mary Worth 2459

Wait. Does the sequence of these two panels suggest that reading the Bible is like a TSA screening?

  1. Tommy's Bible looks odd. It's not thick enough to be one of those big, old-fashioned family Bibles, so perhaps it's a book of illustrated Bible stories for little kids. That would be about up to Tommy's speed. And those are salt and pepper shakers, not pill bottles, right?

  2. Tommy is checking the Bible Cookbook for something different for Thanksgiving. Skip the turkey in favor a fatted calf this year?

One of the blog commenters earlier this week predicted floating heads, and bingo, there are two today.

  3. Perhaps Iris and Tommy are going to go away and join that religious cult after all.

    Golly, I'll miss them.

    Not.

  4. Such determination in the positioning of the heads of Wilbur and Iris. There will be no turning back, it looks like.

  5. Today, the role of Wilbur is being played by Karl Malden in this special edition of the upcoming TV series, "The Streets of Santa Royale"

  6. Nance (sorry, I'm not sure how to reply to a particular post here), aren't Iris and Tommy already part of the cult of Mary the Advice-Giver?

  7. Tommy tend to think of Mary as the Back-Injurer.

  9. Look! Iris's head is in a pink bubble, while Wilbur's floats in a blue one. How very gender appropriate!
