Mary Worth 2509

"I suggest you spend a couple of weeks at Pax Wellness Resort thinking about your choice, and how there's no going back from choosing wrong. Then when you get back, both jobs will be filled, and you won't have to worry about it anymore."

  1. Arrr! That pinkie is leaving her hand & coming after me!

    Anyhow, here's another Goethe quote for Wendy, to put us out of our misery:

    Then indecision brings its own delays,
    And days are lost lamenting over lost days.
    Are you in earnest? Seize this very minute;
    What you can do, or dream you can do, begin it;
    Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.

  2. You know, this person could just read her Cleveland Plain Dealer horoscope and get this kind of "help." Here's mine for today--"You might want to pull back and think before you take action. Use the morning and part of the afternoon to re-evaluate a decision. You could be flipping back and forth between two approaches. This process helps you to see more clearly."

    Here's my husband's--"Reach out to someone you care about, as he or she always puts an interesting slant on an issue. Be willing to explore new ideas."

    Here's a random sign--"You might want to make a decision, but you recognize that you need to depend on a key person. A discussion could be difficult at best. Honor a fast change, knowing full well what is about to happen. Trust that you will see the big picture."

    All of this is at least as helpful, or moreso, than Mary/Wendy.

  4. What kind of jobs let you wait 2-3 weeks before accepting?

    Unless this is a matter of choosing between merchandise stocking (night shift) at Santa Roy Mart or Maisies.

  5. "Endless" indeed - today is Groundhog Day. And, KM has tapped into her "Big Book O' Quotations" on a day other than Sunday.

    Mary has witch fingers, which is both scary and appropriate.

  6. I'm sure the paper's readership has increased dramatically since Mary has been trying to help this poor soul decide between working at Hardee's and Chik-fil-A. I think he should pick Chik-fil-A, because then he won't have to worry about working during the Super Bowl.

  7. Are those fingers or tentacles?

  8. How long will Moy make this last? It's ridiculous.

  9. Wanders: Was Tommy the letter writer?

  10. Heavy decisions require heavy drinking. I suggest you take the time to do this.

    Furthermore, I am three sheets to the wind as I write this. I've been reading Goethe and watching Bugs Bunny after a few scotches and a bottle of wine. I keep mixing up his quotes with those of Mel Blanc.

    Biggy Wiggy, Teensy Weensy, abra Kapocus - Goethe

    Go have some drinks and figure it out. Wendy is going to bed.

    Wendy, Burp!
