I remember Dr. Jeff being much better looking. Perhaps he's taken up amateur boxing (without a helmet) since we saw him last? That could explain the knee injury. I think he's making some poor hairdressing choices, too. The heavy Grecian Formula usage and the Superman curlicue just don't suit him. Of course, he's about to disappear for a while, so what's the difference?
First, a tip of the top hat to Wanders for today's secret message. :-)
Second, all of us miss Joe Giella, but it's reassuring that June has adopted the strange angles and even stranger window glass in building exteriors. Charterstone is not an attractive place, for all kinds of reasons (including the kelk cube on Jeff's child-size fork - yuck). And, if anyone is really bored today, print today's strip and color Mary's wall art. Is that Mary and Jack at an "Up with People" concert on the left?
What would Mary have said if Jeff had exclaimed, "A cruise - I'm in!" Mary: "#%#&!!"
Another theory on why so many random words are bolded in Mary Worth. Maybe they are the actual story notes that KM writes and supplies to June to draw the strip. When June does the artwork, she adds more words to actually make sentences, and leaves KM's words in bold in the process.
I really just do not get the point of Mary's putting up a ruse of interest in Jeff's joining her and Toby. OK, so we dispatch the burning question of Jeff possibly joining them. Why, why, why? Unless it's that Mary has to have Jeff's blessing before she can go off on a "girls' cruise"? Maybe she really IS stuck in the 1950's, snappy attire and hairdo aside...
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

Those candles are sure burning at an odd angle...maybe because Mary and Jeff are spitting out nonsense phrases eight inches from them.

ReplyDeleteWanders, you win the Internet today!
ReplyDeleteJeff's apparently never heard of Vicodin.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say: Great comments today everybody!
ReplyDeleteYahoonski, maybe Doc Jeff could hook Tommy up with some Vicodin, too.

What's floating in those wine glasses, particularly in Jeff's? Ice cylinders, or perhaps the cork?
Maybe Mary and Toby can collaborate on a children's book about catfish entitled Tails of the Sea.
@KitKat--Same old, same old. They keep repeating the identical information day after day; that's what's getting to me. LOL.
