Hmmm... Wasn't the last French restaurant that Ned took Dawn to called The Pig? Now it's The Love Dog. I think the restaurateurs in Santa Royale are trying to warn Dawn about something. Probably the cuisine.
No way did Karen Moy come up with "The Dog of Love" as a restaurant name. June is just as subversive as Uncle Joe, and I salute her! Next time Dawn goes to lunch with Jared, they can stop at Taco Perro.
"Dawn, I'm glad we were able to continue our conversation because I wanted to ask you if you're familiar with the "three-date rule." No? Well I'd like to take you out to dinner again tomorrow night and explain it to you. Wear something frilly."
I would have thought that a restaurant with that name was either a place where dogs are seated at your table or a gourmet hot dog emporium. (BTW, Cleveland has a terrific place called The Happy Dog. The dogs, including excellent vegan ones, come with tater tots and about 50 different diverse toppings, ranging from kimchee to Froot Loops. Le Chien d'Amour doesn't come close.)
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

ReplyDeleteThank you. Very good.
Yes. Continue. Stroll? Healthy.
Doctors! Let's!
Don't order the frankfurters here, Dawn. They're much better down at The Boat of Bum.

ReplyDeleteKitKat and Dave: Retro Dog near Akron. Variety beyond belief. Or we could just go to A&W
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite restaurants is "Au Chien Qui Fume" by Pont Neuf.
ReplyDelete(Get the duck breast.)
It's mascot is a dog in a smoking jacket smoking a pipe.
I DO NOT want to know what mascot at "The Dog who Loves" is doing.
