Mary Worth 2743

Maybe if Wilbur stopped living so high on his Santa Royale Tribune expense account, he wouldn't keep meeting gold diggers.

  1. I'm with Fabiana here. Wilbur saying "I care for you a great deal" but not "I love you, Fabiana" speaks volumes about his level of commitment. Get all the jewelry you can, Fabiana. Better yet, fly to Santa Royale and introduce yourself to the newly flush with cash Zak Zakkyack of Zakik's Studio. Besides cash, he has hair and already knows how to dance.

  2. Yes, Fabiana looks insecure, like she needs to make sure all the other tall, hot Columbian women who are vying for the passion that is Wilbur don't go frolicking in the waters of Bogota with him. A big right hand ring will do that for a girl.

  3. And Zak is only with Iris to convince her to give the Zakiks Game 5 stars on the App Store.

  5. Laughing so hard at Ian Cameron, PhD's comment right now.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "Does Wilbur Have The Bucks For Fabiana And Dawn's Lifetime Learning?"

    Buy...Really!
    Dear...Great deal! Actions show?
    Yes...reassurance.

  6. Well, that’s the wrong hand for an engagement ring. Perhaps Fabiana doesn’t understand the American colloquialism, “put a ring on it”. Or perhaps she does. Anyway, that’s a really big emerald for a friendship ring. Wilbur was probably thinking more in the realm of a modest little chocolate diamond. Very modest. Very little.

  7. No wonder Wilbur seems at home in "Bogota-By-The-Sea". The storefronts are strikingly familiar. One can only imagine his surprise when he wakes up in a bathtub full of ice, minus a kidney.

  8. If you care for me, buy me stuff. Now there's a girl who loves Wilbur for himself. Time to come home now.

  9. Wilbur's busy thinking how much this ring is going to cut into his sandwich money. I can see him embezzling money from his Pennysaver business spending account to keep Fabiana in the style she's accustommed to.

Wilbur's future involves standing on the streets of Bogota naked in a barrel after Fabiana takes him for every dime he has or 10 years in jail in the US for embezzelment. Just seeing both in my floating head scenario makes me laugh.

  10. Fabiana should have brought Pedro along to berate Wilbur into buying the ring. "You need to move! You need to buy it NOW!!!"

  11. @fauxprof -- Since this is Wilbur, he was probably thinking of a chocolate diamond made of actual chocolate.

  12. And Wanders hits a homerun on the first pitch! Regina, if Wilbur somehow extracts himself from Fabby's clutches and makes it home without being imprisoned, perhaps we'll get to see him bearing glum witness to the Charterstone garden wedding of Iris and Zack.

  13. At least the emerald is a geographically appropriate gem stone for Columbia (unlike the geographically inaccurate shores of Bogota).

Expensive or not, I'm shocked that Wilbur isn't jumping at this new found way to a woman's heart. He seems to have so free other options.
