Mary Worth 2778

If only Wilbur had made this type of emotional effort to win Fabiana back, we'd still be enjoying the beaches of Bogota and salsa dancing. He has no problem imagining himself capable of winning the girl back from Zak, but winning her back from Pedro... No way, Jose! Er, Wilbur.

Thank you for all the kind words yesterday regarding our Worthy Awards nominees. It takes a while to put together so I really am glad you're enjoying voting. If you haven't voted, you can visit yesterday's post.

I want to especially thank those of you who bribed the judges by making a donation! Such a help. It means a lot.

  1. Wanders, can we add Thin Lizzy's "The Boys are Back in Town" to the Charterstone Jukebox? It can be the soundtrack to Wilbur's efforts to battle Zak and win Iris back. I envision a series of hilarious gaffes. Fasten your seatbelts, everyone, it's going to be a bumpy and crazy ride. At least I hope so....

  2. Yahoonski and KitKat - re: Iris's bare, wrinkly midriff? Check out Tuesday's strip. You'll see that she's wearing a pink t-shirt under a red bolero jacket or whatever that's supposed to be.

  3. Fat, combed-over, and stupid is no way to go through life, Wilbur.

  4. Wilbur, lurking behind the Spanish Bayonets (hopefully crouching over a nest of fire ants) is becoming increasingly delusional. He imagines that Iris picks up men in bars, that Zak is involved in illegal activities, and the biggie—that Iris will easily be won back.

  5. Great post today, fauxprof! The image of Wilbur crouching over a nest of fire ants will be with me all day. Ha! Ha!

  6. A few tweaks and we can turn The Angels' "My Boyfriend's Back" into "My Boyfriend's Zak."

  7. Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Wilbur Needs To Dial Back The Miracle-Gro; It's Making Him Delusional".

    Whoever is, gone...
    Temporary fix...I'm!

  9. Wilbur, the delusional stalker. Can a restraining order be far behind?

  10. Wilbur is destined for handcuffs and disgrace.

  11. Angry, stalking Wilbur is much, much more entertaining than lumpy, indecisive Wilbur. This is clearly the most active and focused that I can recall him being.

  12. I can't be the only one hoping Fabiana pawns her ring to follow Wilbur, shows up at the pool party, dances with Zak, and Fabiana and Zak ride off into the sunset, leaving Mary with a very satisfying harvest of emotional turmoil from which to feed.

  13. Am I wrong to hope that Wilbur is right about Zak? He seems shady to me, too.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
