Mary Worth 2781

"Was I?" Ha ha ha ha ha!

"Who... ME?"

  1. Mary's resolution for the new year was trying to be more humble. So, she can now cross THAT off her list.

What did Wilbur expect to see from Iris with a "rebound"? Something like this?

Rebound Ron (who's wearing baggy, droopy jeans, a Nickleback t-shirt, and a MAGA cap): "Iris, want to go to Food Team and get samples for supper?"

Iris (wearing her usual wardrobe): "I dunno. We went to Food Team yesterday. How about Costco?"

  2. The Santa Royale Community Theatre presents the Charterstone Players in “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”, directed by M. Worth. With Iris Beedie as Lucy, Zak (no last name) as Schroeder, Ian Cameron,PhD as Snoopy, and of course, Wilbur Weston as Charlie Brown. No one in the cast is able to sing, but the scene in which Lucy pulls the football away is performed with great feeling.

  3. Panel 2: "You’re not a Good Man, Wilbur. You’re a dope. And you’ve tracked something in on my carpet.”

  4. It's sad, but it seems Mary is now nothing more than a muffin peddler.

  5. Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"In Which Wilbur And Mary Distill The Very Essence Of Their Relationships Whilst Slumped Over Muffins".

    Back! Rebound! Right...
    Was I?
    Happy. Interfere.
    Good man.

  6. Suddenly realizing that they live in California, Mary offers Wilbur pot brownies instead.

  8. Mary compliments Wilbur because he said he wouldn't act act like a jerk? Granted, that's really out of character for Willie, but it's still a pretty low bar to clear to be granted "good man" status.

Wilbur should pick on someone his own age. Maybe he can weasel in on Dr. Jeff's territory and put a move on Mary.

  9. Sadly, I think Iris *is* supposed to be Wilbur's own age. Just much better looking.

  10. I think the proper punctuation should have been:

    Was I?!

The surprise at being correct was clearly missing in addition to it being a question.

  11. Thursday:

"Ii thought love was only true in fairy tails.
Meant for someone else but not for me.
Love was out to get me (doom-da-da-doom)
That's the way it seemed (da-doom-da-da-doom)
    Disappointment haunted all my dreams."

Come on mary--stop telling him what he wants to hear, give him a dose of reality. Yes wilbur, you are doomed.
