What are you sorry about Wilbur? Are you apologizing for taking off on your worldwide tour without talking to her about it? Or is it for dumping her for a Colombian con-artist? Or is it for your sense of entitlement when you came back? Or is it for being creepy and stalking her? A little clarity would be appreciated. Oh and Norman Bates would complete the scene.
I'm starting to worry about my own mental health. The more boring this strip gets, the more I can't stop thinking about it. Is that normal, Dr Wanders?
Unfortunately for Mr. Allora and all his labor, distracted Wilbur forgot to turn on the exhaust fan, and the subway tiles loosen and begin to fall off,
Wanders, is this the first toilet sighting in MW? I know we’ve seen bathrooms before (I recall Iris in the Beedie bathroom with Tommy - yikes) but I don’t remember this level of detail.
Movie trivia: The first appearance of an actual toilet was in Hitchcock’s “Psycho”. Now we have the first appearance of a toilet in Mary Worth, coupled with Norman Bates references over the past couple of days. Will we see Tommy Beedie, dressed as Iris, showing up with a butcher knife? (Tommy and Iris are pretty much indistinguishable anyway.)
I'm hoping Sunday will gift us with seven or eight more panels of Wilbur in the shower so we can see his hot bod from every possible angle. Why? Well, it's like when your dad catches you smoking and makes you smoke a whole pack. Aversion therapy. I figure when Moy actually sees such an array of wet flab, she'll pack this story in and move on to the next Toby/Ian crisis.
@fauxprof, picturing Tommy Beedie dressed as Iris and carrying a butcher knife had me rolling on the floor - hahahahahaha! And you're correct - all Tommy needs to do is swap his wife beater for a ruffled blouse.
If isn't stabbed to death by Norman Bates Wilbur will end up going to hospital with severe burns from the steaming water. While there receiving skin grafts Wilbur will meet a lovely Latina nurse. He will get triggered. The nurse will inevitably hold a pillow over his face. Not because she wants to harm him but that's Wilbur's face we're talking about.
I can't believe that we are watching the in-the-shower transformation from loser to country music author. Saturday's strip even has the name of his first hit -- "Iris I'm sorry, I was wrong". Twang!.....
Iris I'm sorry, I was wrong Wontcha take me back darlin' It's been far too long My hairs just lie flat In the steaming hot shower No spray can lift them Only you have the power
I was wrong, ain't no denyin' I'm tired of being alone Can't stop whinin' and cryin' The Bogota beach was a cruel illusion Leavin' it all behind me In my pickup truck cruisin'
Iris I'm sorry, I was wrong Wontcha take me back darlin' It's been far too long You're the top of my muffin My pastrami on rye Only you have the power To leave that Zak guy
Sandi Ego, a truly outstanding testimony to Wilbur's combover! Since he appears to be showered not only by water but also by milk (thanks to June...), perhaps his hairs will benefit from that shower after all..
Sandi Ego, your talents are unlimited. I see CMA and Grammy awards in your future. I can’t say the same for Wilbur. BTW, everyone else in Wilbur’s building is getting an unwelcome surprise when they turn on their hot water taps and only cold water comes out. “#%|€*??!!
Try holding your phone the way Wilbur is holding in in p2. It just does not work.
I was wondering who the guy with the pencil mustache and goatee was in the picture above Wilbur's desk, then I realized that it's (I think) Dawn. And I wonder where he got those books with the colorful covers? I guess not from the library, since all of their books are grey.
And is Mary trying to lure Wilbur back to Lookout Point again? Seems a little ominous. Oh well, at least she has eyeballs. Or maybe the disappearing eyeball problem has resolved itself? It was a big problem back in 2016 (I'm a little behind the times.)
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

I'm concerned about Mary Worth and Me's Family Friendly policy. Today's Mary Worth strip is hot and steamy all by itself.

ReplyDeleteThat panel is what I'd see in Silent Hill.
ReplyDeleteI'd imagine one of the things Wilbur is sorry about is scalding himself in that shower.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'd like to thank June for the steam. And then I'd like to point out that the Magic Marker is still working really well.

ReplyDeleteI suspect the silhouette is Wilbur holding an "As Seen On TV" bath brush/microphone combo designed to accompany his shower radio...
ReplyDeleteOh, my stars! Thank goodness the steam tastefully covers Wilbur's gentleman parts! (I don't know how much beauty I can take!)
