Mary Worth 2890

I'm just wondering where these words are that Wilbur is reading. Maybe it is just subtext that Wilbur is able to comprehend by looking at this picture. The subtext continues: "... I haven't been this happy in a long time. Not since before Mom left you. Now I understand."

  1. Dear Dad,

I haven't been this happy in a long time. I really dread coming back to Santa Royale. I don't know if I can do it. In fact, Harlan says we don't have to. He and I can start a new life here. I'm warming to the idea.

    Ciao,

    Dawn

  2. Someone doing "Bunny Ears" behind Dawn's head?
    What year is this?

  3. My thoughts exactly, @Scottie McW. Maybe Dawn will ask Daddy to send her inheritance right now.

Touring Beautiful Italy has done anything to improve Dawn's lack of style. Her entire group, including Harlan, looks like they cut each other's hair with garden clippers and found their clothes at a lost and found.

  4. Argh, I meant "hasn't," not "has."

  5. Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

    "The Magic Of Therapy".

    "Happy."

  6. KitKat, yes! Perhaps that photo was taken after a night of whirling dervishness at an Italian disco...Or we're supposed to see that extended vacations break down the need to attend to personal grooming. Apparently it makes them happy, or else they're all on drugs.

  7. Great pic in front of the Leaning Dome of Rome.

  8. Great news, Dad! You're going to be a grandfather. Details later. Gotta go.

  9. If I was away from Wilbur, I'd be happy too. @mr_darcy was thinking the same thing too!

Are we now going to have Wilbur bloviating for the next week or two about Dawn being happier than she's ever been?

Next on the list: Wilbur gets a package in the mail. It's his 30K ring, which the Bogota police have returned as Fabiana and "Cousin" Pedro were arrested for harvesting kidneys from their marks as well as taking their money, valuables and credit cards. You got off easy, Wilbore.

  10. Oh and the role of Harlan Jones will be played by Clark Gable.

I wonder if Wilbur will be out walking again crowing about his "great" parental skills?

  11. With a brief Zak and Iris interlude this strip has been about Wilbur for months. Has everybody else at Charterstone died? Are there no more little girls with tummy brains? Please move on from whiny and corpulent Captain Combover.

  12. Tim, we had a brief respite from Wilbur with the muffin debacle. I agree too. Enough of Wilbur already. He is so loathesome and despicable. He’s not even a real person and I hate him. I wished I could have jumped into the strip and pushed him off that cliff.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
