Mary Worth 3126

Love is keeping you alive? Be sure to mention that to Estelle when you meet her. I think it will help.

I'm having a great time in the play, but I have missed being able to wake up early enough to post here before heading off to work. Hang in there. Terry Bryson has arrived, so the next few weeks may be especially trying.

  1. Who the hell eats all those muffins?

Also, in panel 2, is that a lid for the vase? If so, I didn't know that vases have lids. If not, what the heck is it? Did she stick those flowers in an old coffee pot?

  2. Thanks for the cast picture, Wanders! Looks like you had fun.

Mary doesn’t make actual muffins any more. Toby was experimenting with glazing and firing, so she produced a batch of realistic pottery muffins that Mary uses to ornament her kitchen.

(Scotty McW., I didn’t realize you are a fellow NE Ohio resident. We are many and strong here!)

  3. Mary, is Estelle on the 3rd floor in Building B? You are going to confuse Ensign Terry Bryson!

  4. @fauxprof I love pottery muffins! Fantastic projectile weapons as well as handy little dust collectors for the coffee table.

  5. Artheur is bad at the conning business. He left a trail of evidence allowing Terry Bryson to track him down. Plus that green glow is distinctive. Justice will be done, his slovenly hiney will be kicked.

  6. @ Scottie McW. I think it's a re-purposed cocktail shaker.

  7. Thanks for posting the photo from the play, Wanders. I wish all of us could attend a performance!

@Scottie McW., I wondered about that lid too.@RobC’s suggestion of a cocktail shaker is fine - maybe that was Mary’s wedding gift to Terry and Adam.

I think it’s significant that Mary never plied Estelle with muffins, just tuna casserole.

As @fauxprof noted, NE Ohio is a bastion of MW hearties. But where has @Nance been? (On a fantastic trip, I hope.)

  8. Yes, love IS keeping all of us alive: The love of mocking Mary Worth is keeping us alive. (BTW who the heck even says something that ridiculous??)

That vase looks like a repurposed funeral urn.

Terry, Estelle is beyond help. She is a nitwit that fell in love with a sight unseen. gross looking, smelly, cigarette smoking beer swilling downmarket Danny Devito who read her poetry from the book "The Treasury of the World's Best Loved Poems", which he probably stole from my parent's house. My advice is to tell her to take this a lesson learned and become a crazy cat lady.

Glad you supplied a pic Wanders! So happy you're having a good time. I hear that Ken Kensington has been to all of your performances and is learning what real acting is all about. Hopefully he'll take a cue and take that awful cheap, blonde hairpiece off and go au natural. Bald is beautiful!

"Robots On Phone Use Proper Nouns".

    Hi. Mary Worth.
    Are? Adam?
    Good. Work's...Love's!
    You?
    Favor. Estelle.
    Help?

  10. "Work's keeping us busy and love's keeping us alive. Say, now that I mention it, Mary, I recall that you're retired and single. How are you staying alive?"

  11. On Tuesday, Estelle asks "How could I have protected myself?" Wednesday's strip is one panel of Terry and Mary spit-taking their coffee and cat rolling in laughter on the floor.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
