M Wanders, I had the exact same thought. NO cat I ever knew reached out an empathetic paw to comfort someone in pain. Get under your feet and trip you down the stairs to your death, yes. Push jewelry into the trash can in the morning to get you out of bed to feed them, yes. Empathy, no.
I miss the old official Mary Worth website! You could read DECADES worth of old strips! Now, I sat out for *one week* and I can't read last Saturday's strip on Comics Kingdom. Comics Kingdom used to let you read a month's worth of comics. Now it's only one week! SHEESH! Comics Kingdom is really Comics Withholding Dictatorship! Life is brutal!
Oops, I should have checked through last week's entries here before posting. Wanders posted the whole strip from last Saturday. (I love the dead plant and the update on Terry and Adam!) Thanks, Wanders! Wanders, you are TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
The Washington Post website has MW back to May 12 currently. Not sure if non-subscribers have full access, but worth (hee hee!) a try: https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/comics/strips/?name=Mary_Worth&utm_term=.6459deb52f7f
For as much as ComicsKingdom has become extremely pushy, controlling, and hard to scroll/lookat in recent months, at least today they printed the entire Sunday MW, including the splash panels with the Wolfgang Johann Von Goethe quote, and the FBI Website URL from Terry (PSA Day 6!). Which I guess most everyone else did not get. Including our hometown Lakeland Ledger, FL.
All those who do not publish the "splash panel", comics lingo for the first two panels of the Sunday strip, should feel ashamed for cutting out public access to Terry's referral to Estelle of www.ic3.gov. Or else, JB should have moved the web address to a panel below the splash panel. Harrumph! It's worth reporting the crime. They MIGHT get Arthur, if not for fraud, maybe animal cruelty.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Today's Boldface Haiku is titled
ReplyDelete"Wait--Did Estelle Get Scammed By The Freeze-Your-Fat-Off People?".
Too good true.
Months false sense real.
Staged-looking, fake,
Similar, cribbed...
After, money
Vulnerable lies!
Another zinger, @Nance!
ReplyDeleteAfter five days of Terry Bryson’s “help,” how long before we see Estelle perched on the edge of Lookout Point, surrounded by empty wine bottles?
ReplyDeleteHa haaa, good point, Wanders. Libby is probably looting what's left of Estelle's money.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Libby will bring Estelle a small bird or mouse as a sympathy gift.

ReplyDeleteComics Kingdom STINKS: Glad you finally got to see the strip, but Comics Kingdom still stinks.

So Estelle has to wave bye-bye to her ten grand. Maybe she’ll have to trade the Volvo for a (very used) Yugo.
