Dawn has grabbed the mantle of ambassador from the Host Country and will strangle Hugo with it if that becomes necessary.
@Nance, your BFH title is a lesson to me and all of us. We’ve been dissing Dawn for pushing 40 and still not graduating when we should have admired this proud lifelong learner and defender of truth, justice, the American way, and Coca-Cola.
Echoing M Wanders' comment about a desire for more "pizzazzy", I notice that JB has rendered today's panels in shades of gray. Looks like she's ready for something more exciting too.
Hugo: But Dawn, we French welcome people also- like Roman Polanski, Ayatollah Khomeini, Yasser Arafat, Pol Pot, the Duke of Windsor, and of course, the greatest honorary Frenchman of them all, le Grand Jerry.
Oh, he brought us such joy in Le Professeur Fou, and Le Groom Pour Les Bagages!
Would you like to attend the Santa Royale Festival du Film ce soir? It is a projection speciale of Le Desordonne? Dawn, wait, come back!
I was happy for a new story, even if it was with Dawn, but now I am like "Arrrgh". The same for Hugo. He's as repulsive and a big a jerk as Wilbur. Maybe that's why Dawn is attracted to him.
@meg, huzzah for including the Duke of Windsor in your list. We need to include the Duchess as well - what a couple. I can picture them now, cozying up to Der Fuhrer.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Today's Boldface Haiku is titled
ReplyDelete"Dawn Is, After All, A Lifelong Learner".
Welcomes you!
Glad! Offend.
All right. Different.
Learn.
ReplyDelete". . . even you, Hugo." Whoa, nice bit of snark from Dawn.
Would it be hackneyed to say that it finally Dawned on Hugo that he was being a jerk?
Yeah, it would.

I always thought of Dawn of more of an RC Cola kind of gal.

My question is - who is going to pick up the lunch tab?
ReplyDeleteHugo, that house is not going to paint itself.

ReplyDeleteWilbur Weston: jerk or nebbish? Discuss amongst yourselves.
ReplyDeleteThis storyline can only end with Dawn in a MAGA hat screeching SEND HIM BACK! SEND HIM BACK! and complaining about “socialists” ruining “her” country.
