Dawn was studying in "Bat" section of the library.

  1. Wanders, you are on your game! My immediate thought was that "Ding!" is perfect for Dawn because she's such a dingbat.

Ah, another day at Santa Royale Junior High, circa 1989.

On the serious side, I'm sending good thoughts to Wanders and all my other Worthiverse friends as we all grapple with being in uncharted territory and such rapidly changing events. Please take care, everyone.

  2. Hugo? Hugo who?

To continue the fun wordplay Meg kicked off yesterday . . .

Hey deddle deddle, Mary in the meddle.

And once again, Mary wins the Olympic Gold Meddle.

  3. I didn't spend quite as many years in college as Dawn has, but while there I don't think I ever once heard the term "homework."

  4. Dawn will likely have to cancel her trip to Paris this summer. From what I hear, Parisians are scoffing at COVID 19 concerns, so Hugo, who was recently pictured at the Eiffel Tower with a "friend", is probably infected with COVID 19 and who knows what else. Dittoing KitKat, hope everyone is able to stay safe. Personally, raking the leaves that had accumulated over the winter in my yard was a remarkably satisfying way to get away from the scary stuff while keeping a good social distance. Don't think Santa Royale has any leaves to rake, though.

  5. Per @Scottie McW.’s suggestion...

Far from thinking “meddlesome” is a pejorative term, Mary uses it as her motto: “It’s always a great day to meddle some!”

  7. Today's (Tardy) Boldface Haiku is titled

    "Jared-On-The-Spot".

    [Ding!]
    (Whew!
    Done!
    Text?
    Jared...)

Wanders, great SM. It's getting awfully awful out there, everyone. Take care.

  8. Who will we see kiss first?

    a) Dawn & Jared
    b) Hugo & New Girlfriend
    c) Mary & Dr. Jeff

My bet is on Hugo & New Girlfriend so Dawn can play victim.

  9. I still am all in on Mary updating The Donald's book and calling it "The Art of The Meddle."

I think it's wonderful when two losers like Dawn and Jared finally find one another.

I wonder when Frenchy is going to tell dawn it is "tres finite" between them. I predict that Dawn will get ready her Skype chit chat and the screen will pop up with Jaune-Tom and Mewsette together. Hilarity ensues.

  10. Hugo is texting you. You're about to get dumped.

  11. The -how you say-break up is much better in France. First, I will look at you with big sad brown or blue eyes and and with an ironic little Gallic moue on my plump lips. Then I will say, Dawn, I must tell you somzing importante. And you will put your manhand gauche in front of your mouth, and tears the size of -how you say- road apples will roll down your cheeks. You’ll say Oh, no, Hugo! Does this mean...? Yes, Dawn, we’re finis. And you have a petite morsel of le gran Mac stuck between your teeth. You’ll rush off weeping and I’ll head for the Cafe des Jeunes Parisiennes to meet up with my cool-how you say- posse. Much better, n’est ce pas?

  12. Has anyone determined the name of the disability that causes everyone associated with Charterstone to hold cell phones in such an awkward manner?
