Call me a softie, but I'm pleased with the last few days of strips. Most MW stories involve unlikable people doing unlikable things. This is a nice change. So there will be no snarknado from moi.
Like Scottie, I want to be snarky, but I can't because my cat Ronnie and I sleep together just like that. He even lets me cuddle him. I had two other cats that did this as well.
However, Greta looks just a trifle ecstatic. I wonder if she's like this with Myster Wynter.
However, know KM, this serendipity won't last long. Let's get back to Toby dithering over what to make for the condo meeting. That should be a hoot.
If this were an episode of "Lassie", we would have seen Mary instruct Greta, "That's right, girl. Madi is hurting inside. It's up to you to bring her out of it. Now go jump up on her bed while she's sleeping, and lick her face. And make sure you turn the right way for your best closeup."
LouiseF, your mention of “Lassie” reminded me that my little-kid self always wondered why Lassie’s family never had window screens or locked windows. (My mother would have died before she’d allow a screenless window to be opened.) I was too innocent/naive to realize that Lassie wouldn’t have been able to leap through unopened windows whenever there was an emergency. “Lassie, Timmy fell down the well again! Pull him out, girl!”
Some animals, even cats, are very sensitive to people's feelings. I was crying one time just after my mother had died. I was in her home alone, and feeling overwhelmed. Her wonderful cat came to me and snuggled up, trying to be a comfort. He seemed genuinely upset until I stopped crying.
I’m sitting here with my two dachshunds, Astro and Spike, and I can attest that no matter your ailment, applying dachshund to the affected area is guaranteed to bring relief.
I agree with the majority of the Worthy Commentarios: KM and June have somehow given a yank to my dried-out, stretched-thin heartstrings. And given this summer in particular, that’s pretty wonderful.
Add me to the list of people who have no snark for these latest strips. It probably helps that they don't have a lot of Moy's dialogue. (Oops, I guess I did have a little bit of snark.) While I do wonder how Greta got up on the bed, her comforting Madi, and the two of them cuddling, is very sweet.
Now that Madi and Greta are bonded, how are they going to handle it when (if) Lyle gets back from Venezuela?
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
I wonder if Saul sleeps in his bow tie.

Grounddog Day?
ReplyDeletePoor Dog. We take our puggle's collar off at bedtime. She "get's naked."
ReplyDeleteAs a dog lover I can't snark this entry. And I think Greta's paws are drawn quite well.
