"And just as I was getting clean, my mom and an old lady got me hooked on opioids. That was rough, but fortunately, a saw a therapist who gave me an antidote and cured me in one session...."
I love how everyone in the Worthiverse is always "sorting". Their thoughts, their feelings, (presumably) their clean laundry. In fact, I would enjoy seeing Brandy poring over a basket of clean (or dirty) laundry (dirty laundry being a heavy handed metaphor for all that's gone wrong in life), doing what she is supposedly doing while running on a boardwalk, a place where one's diverted attention could result in her tripping and ending up unsorted on the sand.
Tommie acted like a total creep when Brandy declined his um,'impromptu' proposal. It doesn't matter if he is off the drugs, she should continue running far away from him.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Tommy speaks to the Graduating Class of 1961. Pigtails, June, pigtails?

Those kids and Tommy look a little too happy for kids attending a don't do drugs seminar. Especially with that Dream poster in the background.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the shaky 100lb heroin addict they used to use to scare kids off drugs? These kids are going to be asking Tommy for steroid tips.
ReplyDelete“And then along comes Mary...”

ReplyDeleteAlso, it must really be the class of 1961, because I notice the students of color are all seated in the back row of the classroom..
ReplyDeleteJust wait until Tommy goes on a wild rant about his experiences with Brandy!
ReplyDeleteExperiences? How many addictions has Tommy been through? Besides meth, steroids, the Bible and Brandy, I mean?
ReplyDeleteBoffo comments by Wanders and all today - huzzah!
ReplyDeleteIt’s clear Tommy’s not in an anonymous program. Perhaps he’ll conclude by distributing his business card (“Call me anytime!”).
LouiseF, 1961 is right on target. I expect that Fred MacMurray and his three sons are in this rapt audience.
ReplyDeleteAs Brandy sorts her thoughts on the boardwalk . . . a tree topples over on her.
Does Tommy even own a shirt that buttons up the front and has a collar?
