And here we thought this story wrapped up yesterday. No, folks, no. They're just getting started. [sigh]
BTW, it's been my experience that all dogs get spooked by thunder to varying degrees, so you don't need to have been a gunshot victim to be triggered (just let it pass, folks) by it.

P.S. Excellent scientific analysis, Wanders. Not even Trump could dispute that.
I agree with Scottie McW., Wanders, your analysis is top notch. Mary even assisted by pointing out that the thunder sounded like a gunshot. It's a KM rule that Mary has to get her tentacles into every plot. Silly me, I had hoped that we'd move on beyond Saul, Eve,and their dogs. Nope - stand by for a case of canine PTSD. Maybe Mary will treat that with Nutrish muffins specially made for Max.
Somehow we need to confiscate the colorist's purple crayons. This is purple overload!
The Beedie's unit must be on the second floor, directly above Mary's. Poor Vin is going to get soaked waiting for Tommy to press the buzzer to let him in.
Eve needs to rush to Saul’s apartment right now, and haltingly tell him the story of how her cat, Sweet Mittens, died while protecting her from her husband’s gunnery cannon.
Is it coincidence that Max's scarf is the now the same color as CRACK! BAM! ??? Can't wait to see how Mary, who doesn't even have a dog, platitudes this one.
Just a continuity point: Eve and Max moved to California from Philadelphia, where there are WAY more thunderstorms than in (drought-ridden) California. I moved from Seattle to Cleveland with my dog of nine years, and she was quite perturbed at this thunderstorm phenomenon (along with the discovery that those black and white "cats" could really spray stinky stuff on you if you started chasing them). Even if Max hadn't been shot at, his acquaintance with loud noises due to his eastern birth would likely not be as unfamiliar as you know KM is going to insist. Now I want to see what he does with a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake...
It's very unusual to get loud thunderstorms in California. I remember we got a rare one when my mother was visiting, and she woke up in the middle of the night thinking, "where am I?". I have lived here for over 30 years, and I think there have been only a handful (less than one per year) of them.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

Great P.S., Scottie McW! Stop the Bam!

ReplyDeleteMichael Beaumier - after the cannon incident, the cat was then called Mitten.
