June and her colorist hubby are getting really creative with recycled artwork, and I have to say I'm totally here for it. Playing spot the 5 differences is way more engaging than following the plot, and by reusing her art content I feel like June is making a sly commentary on Karen's constantly recycled plot and dialogue beats. Well played madam!
“People who came together and sometimes came apart”: I’m picturing body parts flying all over Charterstone, including at pool parties. Could this explain why we haven’t seen Tippling Toby and Professor Chinbeard in so long? Are pieces of them strewn all over the place?
Speaking of Chinbeard (boy, do I miss him!), I think that Ian Cameron, PhD, is on to something regarding June’s sly commentary. “Karen’s been phoning it in for months, so I’m taking it easy too! Where’s that Charterstone path art work?”
The color of those "clouds" behind Mary are more "billowing smoke from the infamous Santa Royale wildfires" than "harmless pillows of cotton". We can only hope Wilbur goes out for more takeout and ends up barbequing himself when he ends up surrounded by walls of flames.
Wanders, I'm not sure if we should be very impressed by your total recall of every Mary Worth panel from the last ten years or if we should be very worried.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Has Mary considered the possibility couples have befriended her, a single, apparently childless, woman of unknown age?

ReplyDeleteDid Toby opt out of this victory lap? They're really sad when it's just Mary reassuring herself of her righteousness.
