Jess: “Fried chicken and salad. Um, I’ve never had that for breakfast.”
Jared: “The hospital food service is really into recycling! Nothing gets thrown away. Say, when you’re finished eating, can we play tic-tac-toe on your face? You might’ve noticed that I’m not allowed to do much here.”
It's just one of those phrases that can't end well.
"It's all good. Or so I've heard. I don't eat the food here because of the body thetans."
"It's all good. Or so I've heard. I've replaced messy, wasteful food with Soylent™, the nutritionally-balanced full diet substitute."
"It's all good. Or so I've heard. They don't let me in the cafeteria any more since The Incident. Really, I'm not supposed to be within half a mile of Hospital. Fortunately I know where they keep the scrubs."
"...help me with everyday things...[such as}...moving, filing charges." Speaking of cute, is this Moy's way of acknowledging that abuse victims are often trapped in a cycle where despite promises of "never again," the abuse keeps getting repeated? In Jess's case, she's apparently moved out and moved back in a number of times, perhaps after restraining orders have expired.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

Don't get it. Jared told Dawn he was having dinner in the cafeteria. Now he says that he hasn't eaten there?
DeleteHospitals have staff cafeterias? Or is this a MW thing? And isn't Jared staff? Or in MW world staff is doctors only?
