Oh, yes! I remember that now! He was her karaoke date, and his name is Dr. Ed Harding. And of all the Karaoke Joints in all the World, they walked into Wilbur's. So it has been a year, and she forgot that there was a reason she stopped bringing Pierre in for his checkups.
A year? That explains Pierre’s parasites. GULP!
ReplyDeleteShouldn’t these two discuss personal matters in a non-work setting? After only one disastrous date, Dr. Ed is calling her “Stell.”
“Speaking of parasites, how’s your ex, Stell?”
Well I'm happy for a new story line at least. Surprised she went back to the same vet after embarrassing herself.
ReplyDeleteEstelle: "Why, thank you, Ed. I really appreciate your reminding me of what was undoubtedly one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. How thoughtful of you."
ReplyDeleteHelenClark
I don't buy that gulp. Stell is not that forgetful.
ReplyDeleteHow long before wilber is involved in this story ?
ReplyDeleteI think Dr. Ed has some anger management issues. Instead of reminding Estelle of their disastrous date, he should have iced her.
ReplyDeleteDr. Ed: "A year? Well, as long as your pets are up to date on their inoculations and aren't showing any signs of illness, an annual exam is perfectly fine, Mrs. ... I'm sorry; what was your name again?"
HelenClark
Gulp!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dr. Ed for reminding Estelle that it's been a year that she's been "taking a break" from Wilbur. Maybe the reminder will cause her to make the "break" permanent. But, move on, sister. Obviously you blew it with the vet.
ReplyDeleteThere isn't another vet she could have gone to?
ReplyDeleteWhat’s with the “gulp” Estelle? You were the one to bring up the fact that the last time you guys spoke was a year ago during your one and only date. Did you think that Ed had forgotten the circumstances? Or was it that you become so mesmerized, poking through Pierre’s doggie doo doo looking for tapeworms, that you forgot?
ReplyDelete“So what have you been doing for a year? Besides sticking your finger up cats’ anuses, I mean.”
