Mary Worth 870

Like Jill, I find that as the administrator of a large nonprofit organization, harboring secret resentment for those who work and volunteer there is one of my greatest professional strengths.

  1. Poor Jill, I think we're about to find a big heart beating inside that large, sarcastic body. Perhaps her resentment stems from an inability to find a love of her own.

And the opportunities must have been few, especially since Andre the Giant passed.

  2. Isn't it weird how these two gals sit in front of a huge bright window and the obligatory pink curtains in panel 1, while in panel 2 black soot begins to rain down the walls? I'm so scared!

  3. Prediction:
    Jill marries Richie's killer.

Jill, why did you ditch me!? Am I not good enough for you? Did I embarrass you or something?? TELL me!

  7. I hope that Moy reads MW&Me for ideas for lines for Jill.

Jill is just like every Mary Worth critic, which means that she is just like every Mary Worth READER.

  8. And so, the story finally begins....

  9. Jill just hasn't been the same since the love of her life, Aldo Kelrast, died in that horrible car accident...

  10. So Mary and Jill are the closest friends that Adrian can find to help with her wedding plans? How sad.

  11. Boy, Ann Coulter is sure looking very "Calgon, take me away!" Love tuffenuf's comment about how she's verbalizing (or at least thought-bubbling) what we readers are thinking. That distant grinding sound I hear may in fact be a conflict revving up. At last. Let the catfight begin! You know Mary will win, but Ann (OK, Jill) looks like a worthy opponent - at least she has a backbone.

  12. Adrian will be in the dressng room for a few weeks, giving Mary plenty of time to rip Ann, er, Jill to shreds, tape her back together and tell a story or two.

Jill seems to be a fair weather friend, who dump Adrian at the slightest change of wind.

  13. This better not turn into another go-round of "love isn't for everyone," I don't think I could stand that. Ann Coul-- I mean, Jill had better bring the snarky attitude out, and not just in thought balloons and barely suppressed sneers.

  14. Not that Adrian and Mary don't deserve to be sneered at....

  15. Poor Jill. She's dreaming of her own weddings - all in the past.

  16. I'm telling you, Jill is a dude with a crush on Adrian.

  17. Jill is just jealous of Adrian because there will never be a wedding dress "in stock" that would fit her. Thus the incessant (so far and sure to be continued) snarking.

  18. Why is Adrian part of a "such wonderful people who deserve every happiness" couple? She is a moron who deserves a kick to the curb.

Mary is a moron too. A platitude-mouthing moron. A p.m.m. Kick her to the same curb.

Go Jill! (You know what you have to do!)

  19. What if Ann, er, Jill, never says anything throughout this entire story? What if each strip ends with her snarking or phumphing or eyebrow-rolling to end the scene? How great would that be? How annoyed would that make Mary?!

  20. Actually, Jill has a crush on *Adrian*. Hence the sarcasm about the upcoming nuptials...

  21. Mary's Thought Bubble: Why won't Jill look at me? I know! If I keep burbling inanities at her she's bound to turn around.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
