I have to admit to some confusion here. The phrase "keep on keeping on" implies to me that someone is overcoming some sort of adversity to continue to do whatever it is they do. Is Karen Moy trying to equate dodging a falling branch with overcoming adversity? More like dumb luck. . . The penchant Mary and Olive show for breaking into song in the midst of their walk, a la Broadway, calls for something like "Keep on truckin'", maybe the Grateful Dead version. . .I'd LOVE to see Mary in a head band and tie dye doing THAT number. . .
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Personally, I thought of this:

More in keeping with the Mary Worth level of sophistication, I think.
Great choices, but I would think this one should be a contender...
ReplyDeleteJust imagine Mary and Olive in their own music video. Horrifying, isn't it?

ReplyDeleteMuscato, LOL! Any friend of Monty Python is a friend of mine.
ReplyDelete@LouiseF at 2:43 PM, maybe Broadway Legend Ken Kensington can make a cameo appearance in that Mary-Olive number.
ReplyDeleteIn panel 2, Mary looks for all the world like Jay Leno. A dancing Jay! That I'd pay to see.
ReplyDeleteWhen are they going to finally keep on keeping on to the pool for the big drowning/swimming/angel scene? I'll bet Mary dances like Elaine.
