Mary Worth 1978

Unfortunately, you need a license to get married, otherwise Joan the Waitress is an ordained minister and would be happy to perform the ceremony right now.

  1. First he wants the turkey, then he wants to be married to you. Don't you see that the man just cannot commit, Hanna?

  2. In how many ways and for how many days will they go on about how much they want to marry each other?!? We get the point, KM. Move on already.

  3. Maybe I'm taking things too literally, but I think Sean is saying that he wants to marry himself. Is that legal?

  9. Sunday

Hanna has started Mary's victory lap for her already. How much longer? Two weeks? Maybe more?

    Pool party, please!

  10. SUNDAY
Hanna's thought bubble in the last panel of Sunday's strip leads me to suspect that the whole "plot" has been one of Mary Worth's daydreams!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the coming week of Mary and Toby (YES!) chatting about Hanna and Sean with a heaping helping of the Mariolatry that we all crave! (Yes, please!)

  12. Sunday - Hanna had sprouted a scarf. And is Sean spoon-feeding her in the last panel?? Mary's probably lurking in the next booth observing their behavior.

  13. @Anonymous 1/31 @ 6:53 - Because Sean is a man of principle and integrity, is why. What a great step-grandpop he'll be for little Gordon! (Or bigger Gordon - we just never know, do we?)

What I want to know is, of all the great philosophers KMoy could have quoted on love, how on earth did she think to choose...Eva Gabor? Mrs. Green Acres?

  14. Judging by the glass in Sean's hand, Robin's Egg Diner uses the new ergonomic squishy glasses perfectly suited to arthritis sufferers.

Hanna's appearance changes so often, she must be a shape-shifter. Sean might be in for a big surprise.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
