Mary Worth 2001

It looks like we are finally going to find out how heavy those grey concrete books are.

  1. Oh, sure. AMY gets it. But will GORDY? Certainly we'll stick around for another 6 months to find out.

    Sigh.

  2. Open letter to Karen Moy,

Karen, Sweetie, if you read yesterday's blog, you know how much we appreciate your--um--work. But really, Karen, Hanna first appeared in September. SEPTEMBER! Sorry, I didn't mean to shout. You're getting on for six months, here, and quite frankly, I'm running out of jokes. I don't know how Wanders keeps it up. So, in the wise words of Queen Elsa of Arendale: "Let it go."

  3. "You're not losing a mom...You're gaining a dad. And someday, you might even meet him, just like me meeting Dave someday."

Going by Amy's inane remarks about marriage, she acts like she's never gone down the aisle before. Were she and Vince shacking up?

Sorry, Hanna, but it seems to me that Sean is the one who'll be making room in HIS life, and apartment, for you and your hundreds of pictures, dishes, towels, concrete books, hideous furniture, etc.

  4. I am so glad they labelled the box of books "BOOKS". It makes packing so much easier and organized.

I hope they continue their organization when they pack up the sofa.

  5. Uh. .. it's been DAYS, and the newlyweds (Hanna and Sean) don't seem to have a problem with spending all this time apart. I imagine Sean has been re-positioning his grand piano over and over in order to find the perfect place for Hanna to play her flute. . . Too bad they don't both play ukeleles. . . . Maybe all those books Hanna is packing up have "music for flutes". . . .

We have a new step dad, step daughter, step grandfather, step grandson,son-in-law and mother-in-law and none of them have met. I hope that, for everyone's sake, they never do or we're in for another six months of this and, quite frankly, I'm not sure that I can take it.

  7. Wouldn't it be hilarious if Amy had Hanna babysit Gordo while she and Dave went on their "honeymoon" and they never came back for him?

  8. Looks like Sean is about to have his first shock - when Hanna starts throwing all his stuff out to make room for the concrete books, pictures and such. The newlywed period may be quite short.

  9. Everybody seems to be very anxious for this story to end, but for some perverse reason, I want to see how long Ms. Moy can sting this along, and with all the issues other posters have mentioned here, I think it could be quite a while.

  10. I of course mean "string this along," not "sting."

  11. From the looks of her sideburns,it appears that Hanna is getting reverse Bruce Jennerized.

  12. No, Yahoonski, I think you got it right the first time with sting. This story is painful. But I have to agree with you in hoping that Moy keeps this idiocy going. My reason is that I would absolutely love to see what Wanders could come up with for Worthy Award categories, with only one story line to choose from!

  13. I wonder what Gordy's first word is going to be? "Grandpa?" "Dad?" or maybe a complete sentence, like, "What channel is Petticoat Junction on?"

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
