In P 2 the martini shaker edges ever so much closer and closer................What's that saying? I cook with wine. Sometimes, I even add it to the food.
For those of you who didn't look at yesterday's full strip, Mary and Olive were shopping not at the Manhattan Food Team store, but at WHOLE FOODS. First an actual museum is thrown into the strip, then an actual grocery chain. Is Karen Moy angling for kickbacks? I would think that the American Museum of Natural History and Whole Foods would be horrified to be associated with Mary Worth, but I could be wrong.
Looks like Mary hasn't yet taught Olive not to hold a knife in one's closed hand. OUCHHHHHH!!!
Re Ed and Evy: Ed is ostensibly an emergency-room physician, right? Does he ever GO to the hospital? Would anyone trust someone as dippy as him for medical care?
Evy's ready for the Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest - where is that going to be?
When Mary tells the "lovebirds" to keep doing what they're doing, does she really mean what I think she means??
@KitKat...Yesterday I did notice that almost everything at "Whole Foods" seemed to be packaged or processed food. In the last panel, did you catch the fish-in-a-box packages?
Olive is evidently practicing her Samurai Carrot Slicing Technique. HAI-AAAHH!
...And whatever the "lovebirds" are doing--we don't wanna know.
You two lovebirds keep doing what you're doing--just keep your door closed and we'll turn the Christmas music way up in here.
I hope there won't have to be an interruption in the Tee-Hee Eddie session when Olive cuts her thumb off. The kid isn't picking up much in the way of knife skills.
Yummy-yum! Looks like vegetable terrine is being prepared! I can't wait to see what comes next!
Also, is Mary much of a bird watcher? I know that she enjoys watching other people interact. Will she be observing the interactions of the lovebirds? Via secret webcam, perhaps? ... I know ... EWWWW! GROSS!!!
Hey, Matilda's parents signed her over to Miss Honey. Why not Olive to Mary? I mean, Olive and Mary are kindred spirits and Mary needs a protégé. After all, Mary isn't going to live forever....is she?
OMG, that gave me queasy shivers seeing Olive with the knife. Two years ago I sliced off a chunk of my pinky finger with a new vegetable peeler. This year I have two broken fingers, one on each hand, so I'm avoiding sharp utensils altogether. Mind your fingers, kid!
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

ReplyDeleteNow you're just messing with us, Moy. Stop it right now. And pass the brain bleach.
is Mary trying to emulate Emil Sitka's famous line from the Three Stooges short (Brideless Groom) ???
ReplyDeleteMary has a mean look on her face in panel 1. She switches to a friendlier look when she realizes the lovebirds are watching.

ReplyDeleteWow - Whole Foods sells carrots with lines on them so you know where to cut. Cool...
ReplyDeleteAre Evie and Ed sharing the same pair of jeans? No so cool...
